I am normally ok throughout the day, but I can rarely keep dinner down. It almost seems as though my pouch is irritated after having to digest food all day that it just rejects any input. Also it doesn't matter if I eat one bite or five. I am almost 3 months post duodenal switch. Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm a sleever, but in my booklet the hospital give to me, they said if vomiting occurs go back to liquids for one day until your stomach settles and then gradually add solids back in.

hope this helps :)

I have found that if I eat just before I retire for the night, the food sits heavy in my stomach. Sometimes I have to get up and vomit. Then I have to stay awake for several hours until my stomach settles down. As a result I have altered my eating habits to never eat before I retire for the night.

Believe it or not it was way worse for about two months. I have had all the tests done and all came back normal. My doctor says that some people's system can take up to a year to adjust.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
