Good luck @@laura4923 on surgery, I will include you in my prayers. My swelling has gone down thank God. Taking it one step at a time.

@jfer- glad you are doing better!! Thank you for the support! ????

@@jfer, do they know what caused the swelling? Was it related to the surgery? It seems strange.......I've heard of it happening after a mastectomy when they remove the lymph glands under the arm. But this surgery shouldn't have done it. Anyway, glad you are doing better! It's enough to get used to your new stomach without having additional problems like you have. Hang in there!

I had my surgery on August 6 now is 17 days and I feel good my abdominal pain is almost disappearing, no nauseas, no vomiting eating tuna, 1% milk, crystal light, atkins shakes, diet Jell-O, soups. No headaches, sipping water the whole day. Good luck in ur journey.

were you able to have 60 grams of proteins the first couple of days ? I can only drink one shake with 30g of proteins waft about water intake I can only have 50 0z..

To tell you the true I just start with the protein l,doctor told me second week but this is my 3rd with and I just started feeling good this week I'll be drinking 3 shakes a day.

Hi @@Dawn306 , they don't know what caused it. I had a feeling it was from 1 of the meds they gave me and they've given me so many of them I couldn't figure out which one. When I had my hysterectomy it happened the same thing when I took oxycodone. So I just didn't take any pain meds they prescribe, I just use ice bag.Right now trying hard on drinking liquids, I am having a hard time reaching the requirement. Just walking around the house instead outside because I am afraid to get more dehydrated in the heat. Thank you again for checking.

Got my insurance approval Thursday -- now they're trying to decide between August 31 and Sept 1 for surgery. I may het be an August person!

I'm scheduled for Aug 31st. Started my 1 week preop diet today. I'm already hungry. Grrr. I believe This will be the hardest part. Haha. I'm looking forward to the cravings to go away. Wish me luck.

Hello Group, I am 5 days post-op and much feeling better everyday. Just started my 30mins walk outside the house today. My worries is I am not able to meet my 48-64oz liquid intake each day. I am only able to meet have of the liquid requirement.Everything taste bad to me even water. Still feeling nauseous even if I am taking nausea meds.

Hi, I'm pre op I'm on the final two days of the pre op diet. But I heard a tip, measure your water out in a measuring cup then using a shot glass drink it one shot at a time through out the day.

Omg me too everytime I drink hurts and proteins are giving me stomach ache and straight to the bathroom I feel so weak and tired and moody tomorrow is my first post-op visit I cant wait to talk to my doctor about it!!

I've been using Isopure unflavored protein, 1 scoop with 20 oz of water and 6-8 squirts of crystal light. I've found that anything lemonade kills the protein taste, blackberry lemonade, etc, also blueberry raspberry. Maybe this could help you. Good luck!

I am now officially a September sleever! Sept 1! See yall! Good luck!
