I had my surgery on August 6 now is 17 days and I feel good my abdominal pain is almost disappearing, no nauseas, no vomiting eating tuna, 1% milk, crystal light, atkins shakes, diet Jell-O, soups. No headaches, sipping water the whole day. Good luck in ur journey.

were you able to have 60 grams of proteins the first couple of days ? I can only drink one shake with 30g of proteins waft about water intake I can only have 50 0z..

@jfer- How are you feeling? Are your arms still swelling? I hope you are hanging in there at home!!

I work tomorrow and then it's to the hospital at 7:15am on Tuesday. I am ready!!

I'm one week out from surgery tomorrow and I'm still having issues getting all the Protein in. I think I'm doing good with the Water intake but I know I'm not getting in enough protein yet. But I've talked to other sleevers and they have said that they are still not getting enough and these ladies are years out. Anyhoo, I'm down 18 pounds since starting my liquid diet on August 9th so I'm really happy!

I'm in Glenn heights near cedar hill. My Dr. Is David Dyslin with Arlington Batiatrics, and it's going to be done at USMD . I'm super nervous! I'm sitting here packing my kids stuff and my own for the next 2 days! My baby has never spent the night anywhere and he will be staying with my cousin tomorrow night... I'm so sad! It'll be worth it though in the long run...

Take your own slippers to the hospital. Or even flip flops that you can slip on and off easily. Take loose fitting pants - sweats or shorts - since your tummy will still be a bit swollen when they discharge you. Toothbrush and toothpaste for sure. Chapstick for your lips. One thing I was really glad I had is Biotin Mouth Spray. One of my meds gives me dry mouth, so I had it for that. Well, I hadn't drank anything from 7am the day of the surgery, till I had my surgery at 5 pm. I wasn't allowed anything to drink all that night, or all the next day. My mouth was so dry it was almost painful! I used the Biotin mouth spray a few times that day, and it did help to sooth my dry mouth. Although, I have heard some people say that they got ice chips as soon as they woke up. For me, Ice chips came the second day after surgery. Last bit of advice is to be well hydrated before the surgery. Drink as much as you can up until they tell you to take nothing by mouth - usually about 12 hours before surgery.

Thx @@Dawn ! I have all that besides the flip flops!! I sent my hubby to Walmart to grab some because I just had socks packed. I'm ready!

Yea!!! See you on the other side!

I go in at 6am here in Dallas as well....good luck everyone!!!

Today is the day! Hope I sleep at hospital because I can't sleep now! Check in in 2hrs 13 min. Today is the 1st day of the rest of my life for sure!

I'm headed to the hospital!????????????????????
