    Slow loser and stuck

I had the same issue. I was stuck at 218 for 2 months. My doctor drilled me about eating more and I upped my protein . Today I hit 198 ( less than a month later) . I try to drink at least 50 G protein in a shake / smoothie a day, so that I can eat the rest of my requirements successfully.
  5. OMG!!! Well that's new... I'm sorry he was such an ass. It actually sounds like he knows a lil more than the typical person on the outside-as in he's had it done too or at the very least he's looked into it.

    African American vsgers!

Ok SiStars... I am roughly right under 4 mos pro and my edges are SHOT! Help! What are you doing (for those who had hair loss) to combat this foolery?? I'm Natural so I need some help as my hair care routine is very basic with oils and butters. Save me and my edges please!
  9. We are in the same boat. SW 249. Sleeved 8/24 and only down 37.5lbs. At my last visit doc said I was doing well and keep up with my routine. Just that I plateaued early but it will start falling off again. Hugh!!! I can't wait til that happens!
  10. Sounds like she realized how insensitive she was being and was embarrassed herself. Serves her right. Good job speaking up for yourself!
  11. I'm almost 3mos post op. I do well with most of my requirements, but the whole no drinking 30 mins before and 30 mins after is my struggle. I mean as soon as I sit down to eat-instant dehydration! Lol I swear I'm dying of thirst at that specific moment in time!! I know I'm still trying to reprogram myself to this new habit , but damnit! Lol whew! I had to get that out!
  12. I just got another one: how big were you?? I mean you're it REALLY big now, so how big did you start off?? Smdh
  13. Have u tried unflavored protein powders? They were a lifesaver for me! I burnt out on the premiers and Isopure, do now I just add 2 scoops to a smoothie or 1 scoop to food- works wonders. My doc said the protein helps build muscle ( which helps burn more fat) as u lose the fat . That's all I needed to hear to up my intake! I don't want that jiggly look after the weight is gone.

    Any August Sleevers?

So you've lost 183 since August ? I'm confused because how could your BMI be 32 at 300+lbs? Help me out! Lol I'm only at -37lbs. I need to know what in the world you're doing.

    My daily struggle

I know the reasoning behind it, but it's still a pain. I'm trying to follow the 'rules' as much as I can to maximize my loss but... Lol grrr this one is stupid! Lol we'll make it though ladies! I have faith!
  20. Sleeved 8/24. SW 249, CW 215. Not as much as I expected but definitely excited about the drop. Goal is 130, though I can't even imagine that. My personal goal is 150. I'm hoping to still have curves by then!

    Where's the "support"?

I've noticed a annoying little trend going on where someone asks for advice, or posts that they're down in the dumps for some reason or another- and they instantly get RIPPED! I thought we were all here for the same reason-to get support. We all have/had a common ground being that we are/were overweight and decided to do something about it. That decision does not mean that all our struggles go away miraculously. The people that struggle with food will still struggle with food. People that struggle with exercise will still struggle with exercise, and so forth. There really is no need to get all "you're going to DIE!" or "you're going to fail!" just because someone states they're hungry or want something not so healthy. I get that some people need tough love, but who says you have to be the one to give it to them? Especially if you're going to be a total b@$ch with it. I'm just saying there is a way to do and say everything. Remember your own journey. There was once a time where you were not so healthy or had it all together too. Vent over.

    Gummies

I take the prenatal gummies and a b-12 sublingual . Last lab was great. Vit D was still low, but not lower than before I started, so now I have a small D3 gel.

    Carbonated Drinks

I tried a few sips about a month or so out and it felt like my stomach would explode! Way too much gas for me. When the notion hits now, I just get a small Coke slurpee from 7/11. A few sips satisfies me for a few weeks or so.

    Dallas sleevers

What about something physical like laser tag or rock climbing at alley cats? Or even meet up on a trail outside and go hiking?
