  1. Said it's nothing to be too concerned about unless it gets worse. Could be gas, a stitch that dissolved or even a nerve that is trying to repair itself. Just passing along what I learned. Y'all have a great weekend!
  2. If that's what it is, then don't be surprised if you feel it 4 weeks out. Lol. I may call today, just in case. I appreciate the feedback. I'm glad I'm not alone. It's just odd to me that it didn't start until now...4 weeks after surgery. Good luck to you both, happy healing. I'll post here when I talk to the doc.
  3. I've also noticed that if I bend it hurts in that spot too. I hope someone can give me some insight based on their experiences.
  4. I'm a little over 4 weeks post op. Things have been good, great actually. Today I started getting a pain in my lower abdomen on the left side. It's about 2 inches below my belly button and to the left a little. It's not a constant pain , but if I stretch I feel like I'm pulling something apart on the inside. It's a sharp pain. Nothing that brings me to my knees but enough to have me here, asking if this seems normal. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  5. Any recommends for good recipe apps for bariatric patients?
  6. You rock!!! Thank you so very much. I'll look for that water bottle. Sounds like a good one. Hope you have a great weekend. I appreciate the help! ????
  7. Thank you for talking me through it!!! I have another question, if you don't mind. I'm 10 days post op now. I am able to drink 10 ounces of G2 in 30 minutes. I used to feel the full feeling and know that I had to stop. Today I tested it and was able to get that much down in half an hour. I'm wondering if that's normal or abnormal. Thoughts?
  8. What y'all are saying fits me perfectly. I hold my belly because any bit of jiggle is uncomfortable. The pain next to my belly button doesn't match up to the incision either. I've feared that when I'm sneezing that I've popped something open. I don't have a cold but I've had a couple of good sneezes and I coughed really hard one time. Did they have to do anything when you ripped your internal stitch?
  9. You have no idea how good it feels to know someone else has experienced this. Not that I want someone else in pain but at least I know nothing is wrong. Thank you for the peace of mind. Good luck to you as well!!!
  10. Anyone else have the dull pain under your left breast? I'm 8 days out and it hasn't gone away. I also have a pain to the left and up a little bit from my belly button. Is this normal??? I still get very bloated as well. Taking Gas-x twice a day. Basically all I have are shakes with Water, crystal light and Protein powder but I'm able to meet liquid and protein goals this way. Please share your thoughts.
  11. So, the pain subsided last time I was on here but it's back. It's a dull pain, but enough for me to question it. Your stomach is under your right breast, is it normal to have pain in the stomach for 7 days? It is a stomach surgery and all, but I'm wondering if I should be worried about it lasting so long.
  12. I've been using Isopure unflavored protein, 1 scoop with 20 oz of water and 6-8 squirts of crystal light. I've found that anything lemonade kills the protein taste, blackberry lemonade, etc, also blueberry raspberry. Maybe this could help you. Good luck!
  13. Do you heat yours in the microwave? Do you add the protein before or after heating it up?
  14. I would not recommend PB or banana personally. Too many carbs. Suck it up, liquid is rough, but you can do anything for a few weeks, your life is about to change so much, a few days of suckiness is OK. What are your thoughts on PB2, unsweetened cocoa, stevia and almond milk with powder Protein?

  16. krystalgenie, how did your surgery go? I'm in Charlotte and just starting to research WLS seriously. Dr. Voellinger is high on my list, and I'd love to hear more about your experience and whether you recommend him. Congratulations on your new start! I love Dr. V. He's easy to talk to, has good bedside manner, his nurse Tiffany is SOOO incredibly helpful, his program is strict and he has a LOT of experience. I highly recommend him!!!!
  17. Please help! I'm on the 2 week post-op full liquid diet and I'm struggling to come up with ideas of protein filled liquids. I have a huge tub of Isopure unflavored protein. What should I mix it with? Thanks in advance!
  18. Thank you! I think you all were right. Gas-x helped and I'm on the treadmill now. I appreciate the advice.
  19. I had sleeve surgery Tuesday. I've been doing good on post-op instructions. Today I woke up with a dull pain under my left breast. I had my gall bladder removed a few years prior to surgery. Any thoughts on what could be causing this pain? Otherwise, I'm doing great. Thank you in advance for your help!
  20. Mine is August 18 in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Voellinger. I'm so excited about my new life! Thank you!!
  21. Ahh I didn't realize that you could make smoothies and shakes with stuff like bananas and peanut butter. Awesome news!! Thank you for your help. Good luck on your surgery.
  22. Full liquids with the exception of the day after surgery. The day after is clear liquids. I'm worried!!
  23. Please help. I begin my liquid diet 8/10 and I'm trying to prepare. What are some creative ways I can adhere to the full liquid diet?
