Full liquid diet using unflavored protein ideas needed

Please help! I'm on the 2 week post-op full liquid diet and I'm struggling to come up with ideas of protein filled liquids. I have a huge tub of Isopure unflavored protein. What should I mix it with? Thanks in advance!

  • You can try mixing it in creamed soups....cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, etc.....strained of course.

  • I have become a fan of vanilla milk, just adding a capful of vanilla with some sweetener to 10 ounces of milk and mix in my Protein. Sometimes I add a little cinnamon.

  • add to yogurt or coffee is my to favorite things as I am new to the unflavored powdered protein thing.

Do you heat yours in the microwave? Do you add the protein before or after heating it up?

You have to careful with Protein powder and hot beverages, it can clump. Heat your Soup first, let it cool a little bit then mix in the powder. I only did this once or twice. I drank Protein drinks for what I needed. I was never really able to get past the taste of the protein powder. Unflavored does not mean tasteless.
