I'm shaking in my boots. I have no health issues; however I know that if I continue down this road of morbid obesity, my days on this earth will be cut short, and I have 5 reasons to live a long life (my children). #VSG'SNOTREADY4ME

I was in your shaking boots just a few short weeks ago. You will do great! I was so scared I started tearing up in the operating room. What felt like only moments later, I was awake and recovery in the hospital was a breeze! I had some morphine when I first woke up but spend the night in the hospital with no additional pain meds and didn't have to take any when I arrived home.

You will do awesome!!! Best of luck to ya on your journey!

You will do awesome!!!! I get sleeved on June 30,2015, so I think I'm a day ahead of you. The nerves haven't kicked in yet. I just ready to be on the other side of it now as a post-op. I do have health issue so that's why I'm doing it. This forum and watching youtube and researching have really helped take the edge off in getting me prepared. I'm sure you have done the same so I know you are more that ready. So sit back and enjoy the ride, LOL!!! You have done everything you needed to do.

BizzyB thank you so very much that encourages me so much. If you don't mind my asking how much did you weight when you went in for surgery.

I was 345 when I went into surgery... I have lost 20lbs since the surgery and 46 since beginning my 2 week all liquid diet pre op. I think I have hit the post op stall... I haven't lost any this week but I am also struggling getting in my Water and Protein minimums. I am hoping once I can make that happen, that I can get the scales going away.

Hey it's 3 hours later, I'm sure you'll be just fine. I haven't been sleeved yet. I'm in the 90 day supervised diet phase. They're looking at a September date. However, you were reading and researching....so I'm sure you know the basics, remember to walk, take small sips, and take your pain meds if needed. I hope all goes well with your surgery. Oh! Congrats to you!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
