No feeling of restriction at 2 months

Recommended Posts

Just for a week. I decided to have my surgery last week. I had band removal and hiatal hernia repair scheduled for June 26. In the mean time I had a gallbladder attack, and decided to add that to the list! At my pre-op appt, my Dr asked why I still had not considered the sleeve. I told him I did, but I'd have to pay cash, and did not have the amount they quoted a year ago. He called his patient advocate, who called around and quoted me a significant lower price. I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes, so I decided to add the sleeve.

I have been thinking of getting the sleeve for several years, but did not think I could afford it.

Very nervous about getting the procedure after all the negative stories for people that have had band to sleeve. I'm so hungry on the liquids after an hour! Praying the Sleeve will give me restriction!

I just want this band out too! It causes so much discomfort!

I hope you are a success story! ????

I'm 5 days out and can drink lots of liquid too. Top that off with only a 3 pound loss since surgery, and that really scares me!

I am so glad someone posted this. According to my food plan I should be eating between 400 to 600 calories on week 4. I can eat a peach, no problem. I can take 16 oz Protein Drink no problem. It takes me longer to eat now but I can pretty much eat anything. I am trying to be careful to eat the right foods. I don't really feel hungry but I can usually tell when I need to 31st by my tummy growling a bit. I am worried at how much I can eat

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
