I, too, am on the 2-week liquid diet. Today is day 6 for me and I am already tired of this. I was getting the heaves on the chicken broth until I decided to add 1 spoonful of cream of chicken to the broth and then liquify it in the blender. What a difference it made! The broth was still as thin as Water but the flavor was more like the cream of chicken Soup. I also am drinking Isopure Icy Orange which has the nastiest after taste. I mixed the Isopure with orange flavored G2 and now it is delicious. Maybe these little tips will help you, too. ;) Hang in there...it will all be worth it!

I'm also on day 8 post op and had a challenging day today too. I would have been happy with just a little refried Beans. I had a bad hour during the afternoon fighting this. But I went to the kitchen, got a bottle of Water, a cup of broth, and a SF pudding and just kept sipping. That helped a lot. Maybe I was bordering on dehydration. I kept reminding myself that I'm doing this for a reason and to be strong.

Try some egg drop Soup (puréed) - tastes like a scrambled egg. I found it very satisfying.

My surgery is next week and I had a question for ya'll post sleevers.

Are you feeling hungry on your liquid only diet?

They say the surgery removes the hunger hormone, is that feeling true?

Did you experience any vomiting post op?

Sometimes a little bit. But it's more a desire to be eating what I can't have. Sort of a head hunger. I was very nauseous the first two days after surgery and did dry heave once, which was very painful. I didn't want to drink anything at all, or even look at it, until day 3.

It did for me. I rarely ever get hungry. I have to remind myself to eat.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
