I purchased the New Whey but I have not used it. I got it as an emergency if I had trouble getting enough Protein in. It is not a high quality protein so I would avoid it except for emergencies

I feel nervous too good luck wating for mine on July 29

I'm nervous too!! I go the 29th as well. Today I had a stress test (omg big girl on a tread mill - only lasted 5 minutes before my heart rate was target at 180). Cardiologist just called- normal yay!! And insurance finally authorized me! Double yay! Now just drinking fluids until I pop!
I'm glad your cardiology test came out normal. I'm super nervous but I'm trying to think positive ????

Hi everyone, I'm 3 days post op and feeling great! Finally feel like I got rid of all that air...I'm on Clear Liquids for 2 weeks. I'm curious as to why we are not supposed to have Protein Drinks ex. (premier protein) I had 2 shoot glasses yesterday and 2 today and it really tastes so good to me. I'm doing better than I expected as far as not feeling hungry. My doctor didn't have me on a pre-op diet. I would love any suggestion/ explanation of the clear liquid phase. 2 weeks seems like a lifetime on broth.

Congratulations to all of us 'Julyer's' who have had the surgery and starting our journey to better health.

Also congratulations to those who are about to embark on surgery and speedy recovery! I am now 5 days out and feeling good.

Only thing is I am very tired and sleep a lot, so apologies if I have missed someones surgery recently. I am sure I will be more 'with it' in a few days and will make up for it then! lol

Gentle Hugs

Kate

Today is the day!!!

It is 515am pacific time. Getting ready to hop in the car with my parents on our way to Kaiser - Fremont, Ca.

Of course, I'm nervous, but I know I've been doing "my job" and have the support of my surgeon and the bariatric team. If they didn't think I was 100% ready, then I wouldn't be scheduled today.

So, here is a hearty congratulations to all the previous sleevers and good luck to everyone to come!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
