I start my pre-op diet on Monday, so I'm planning a fun weekend. I've been slowly making changes so it will be easier. I feel myself getting more and more nervous/anxious. How have you been?

I started my preop diet Wednesday. It's not hard as much as it is boring. Blah...

I had my fun weekend last week. Today I skipped a work luncheon. It would be too hard to be there as it is day 5 of my opti-fast diet. It is not that bad but I think I am a little bit depressed. I want to be the person so excited that surgery is so near but I think I am scared and it is over powering excitement.

I've been reading some other comments and it seems common to have reservations prior to surgery. It will all be over soon. I try to focus on how I will look and feel after surgery.

Feeling excited and anxious! The countdown to the 24th has begun. Been going through some old clothes that have been too small for years. Can't believe I will be able to wear them again. It's sinking in that I will be able to enjoy life in a whole new way.
