Protein and Water seem to be the trick. Also, it is hard to see the loss in yourself. Listen to others and also look at pictures of yourself. I was just looking at a few from March of this year and wow I can see it now. I couldn't just looking in the mirror. It's hard to believe those were just from a few months ago, it seems like so much longer. I also can't believe I'm only coming up on 6 wks post op. It feels like much longer, but I was also lucky to have a smooth recovery without amy complications.

I have been taking pictures along the way and they really help. I feel just as fat as I was +40 lbs ago, but when I look at my pictures, I can see the difference which is a great ego booster. I still have a long way to go (about 85 lbs) so I'll keep taking those pics until I'm at goal. Then I'll let other people take my picture which I never let happen now and in the past. ????

Sleeved May 20th... how many calories & grams Protein are y'all getting in a day?

I have been doing about 650 calories and aim for 80gms of protein per day. I have been able to do it most days! My nutritionist said 600-800 calories is where I should be!

I'm so frustrated! I was sleeved 5\21. For two weeks the scale has been hovering. It stays still or would go up one pound one day then back down the next. I'm so worried that it won't move again. I'm getting in between 900-1000 calories a day. Drinking lots of Water and getting about 70-100g Protein daily. Walking 3-5xs a week. Any suggestions?

Finally broke through an almost 3 week stall and have lost 3# in two days. Hoping it keeps up.

@@Mulepick Did you change anything to get it to move again? I'm in a stall too and am so frustrated.

No I didn't change anything but I have to say that, somehow, I gained two pounds over the weekend. Very disappointing so I'm cutting back cals even further.

Do ya think it's anything to do with the Month of May? Just kidding, but we sure do all seem to be doing the same thing. Stalling!! But I can walk better and people are noticing so it is an improvement.

I am going to weigh in the morning, I just hope it moved down a little this last week! I don't expect miracles but a pound or two would be great. I did have more calories today than normal so hopefully that doesn't mean it will go up too. I will be very sad if it goes up! Will let you know tomorrow what the scale says!

@@pamzie85 how are your clothes fitting? This is really the way I have felt I huge difference. I think I remember reading here somewhere that you can be losing inches but not necessarily lbs on the scale.< /p>

I am down 35lbs since pre-op, 26lbs since surgery. Colleagues and friends are definitely noticing and I've had to dig out clothes that are a size smaller. I hit a stall the past few days - but still lost 2 lbs the past week.

Getting Water in is killing me.......and just not happening. :-(

@@scoutmom I must admit I've seen a slight change with clothes so that's a positive. I've tried to take pictures but I don't notice much of a difference. Sometimes I think it's too early and I'm bound to see the change soon. Still staying positive and grateful for the lost. Thanks for the advice.

I bought these small disposable containers with lids that you usually get salsa in at restaurants- they sell them at target and they help me with portions- I measure out my yogurt, tuna etc for the week that way I see what I eat and it helps with lunches etc

Hi May Sleevers. I have not been on for awhile. Can't sleep tonight and decided to log in. I was sleeved May 12. Almost going on 2 months. I'm down 41 pounds. I'm so happy about that. I had to buy all new clothes. Very excited. I wish everyone luck

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
