I must eat and if I see another Protein shake I will throw up.

My typical day:

Breakfast: 1 6 oz. glass skim milk, 1/2 cup cottage cheese

snack - 4 almonds or a bag of 100 cal. Cookies or Protein Bar

lunch - small salad with fat free dressing, turkey (not processed lunchmeat to much salt) or hard boiled egg

dinner - Baked fish, and small vegs or salad.

NO bread, no Pasta, no potatoes (except sweet potatoes)

snack - sugar free Desserts, or low fat ricotta cheese with almond extract or another flavoring, delicious!

Approx. 800 cal per day, sometimes a little more. I'm losing 1-2 lbs. per week and happy. I do NOT eat Soup, my doctor says it goes right threw you, emptying the pouch and your hungrey to soon.

Good luck

Banded 12/3/07

Weight loss 31 lbs.

I am not sure if anyone else has had any luck but I started the Smartstart or Lean Cuisine Entrees depending on what I am in the mood for but they seem pretty good so far low salt, low fat, reduced calories etc. Feedback would be appreciated-But my day usually goes:

Br- Oatmeal/ Cream of Wheat (Craving that stuff like crazy!)

Snack-Fruit

Lunch- fruit w/chicken breast

Dinner- Smartstart Entree

Snack- Weight Watcher or Nutrigrain snack bar

Hey guys,

What I'm curious about is the timing of all these "small meals"? I'm going into my 6th month and I have been able to eat normally (going for my second fill 02/21.) What time do you guys eat these meals are you eating every 2 or 3 hours?? I am not sure what you guys are talking about when you say "sweet spot" am I misinformed?

Every 2-3 hours sounds about right ... "sweet spot" is the perfect fill level where you're getting full on small amounts of food, not hungry between meals & losing weight consistently.

B: Kashi vanilla oatmeal and a morningstar farms veggie sausage patty

L: Mountain bread sandwich with avocado, turkey, and spinach

D: not really a meal, because I succumbed to carb cravings and ate a couple servings of goldfish crackers. Not going to beat myself up - tomorrow is another day - can't wait for restriction, though!

Your sweet spot is when you have reached the right amount of restriction to allow you to lose 5-10 pounds a month. It means you can eat three small meals a day and stay satisfied between them.

You can probably eat normally because you aren't at your sweet spot. Keep getting fills until you reach it and you will have an easier time losing weight. I have had four fills and am just getting close to my sweet spot.

My doctor instructed us to try to eat three meals a day, no snacking. We are supposed to eat enough at the meals to carry us over til the next one. Once you are at the proper restriction your meals will be small...around 1 cup of food. Also, the three meals per day can be eaten at any time - so if you aren't as hungry in the morning you can eat Breakfast late and go from there. They don't care if they are two hours apart, we're just supposed to eat three times to get the right nutrition. Your food log looked fine to me - didn't look like too much food to me.

I buy the Cafe Mocha at my local grocery store and the Caramel Latte at a local vitamin/health food store called Clark's.

I know these flavors are available online at Amazon.com and drugstore.com, problem is the cost of shipping :scared2:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
