my banana flavored Protein Drink, Protein pudding like 3 spoonfuls. church when I came home it was vegetarian Soup. I had been so busy the day before that I went down for a nap, 4 hours later.................... hubby had make chicken stir fried veggies/pastas. My throat was still hurting from the night before (I think the smoke from casino didn't help) so I pretty much just chewed the flavor out the food and then spit it out. evening dessert is applesauce.

My weight less has stalled :( so I'm trying new things/ways of eating. My doctor tells me at every appointment, no Protein Shakes, no Protein Bars, no liquid calories what so ever....however, looking at alot of what people are logging, they are having great success including the shakes and bars. So needless to say, I'm very confused at this point. I'm also told that I might not be getting in enough calories per day and putting my body into metabolic shutdown. Has anyone else experienced this??

Im, not sure where you are in your journey but I go through periods, where I stall. I'm basically losing and gaining the same 3-5 pounds, for, several Weeks and, then bam, I start going down again. Keep it up and,I think it will eventually fall off.

Hi there. Your doctor is right, it is better to eat protein than to drink it. I know a lot of people have trouble with their band being tighter in the mornings, so a Protein Shake is a good way for them to protein in. If I have a protein shake, it's usually first thing in the morning simply because I am not a big Breakfast eater. Some people also have a lot of trouble eating meat, so that's probably why they choose to eat protein bars. I sometimes have a Protein Bar as a snack.

How many calories are you consuming on a daily basis? Are you exercising? The best advice I can give you is to shake things up a bit. If you are not eating enough calories, try bumping it up for while and try changing up your workout routine. Sometimes all you need is a little change to get those numbers going down again.

Plateaus are pretty common, so don't stress over it too much. It may take some tweaking, but it will pass. Best of luck to you!

Missy0224 - where do you get the Snackwells Protein Bars? I looked on the Nabisco Snackwells website and I saw Cereal bars but not protien bars. Where do you buy them?

I get them at Walmart. I guess they are technically considered "cereal bars" but they do have 8 grams of Protein.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
