I woke up in Onederland!

Recommended Posts

After 10 years of watching my weight creep up up up into the 200s and finally topping out at 260, I am finally seeing a 1 before my weight again! I really like it here, I'm never going back!!! :) Another 8 lbs and I'll weigh what I lied and told the DMV I weighed LOL

Wow what an accomplishment! Your story so mirrors mine! Same start weight - 264 and my license says I weigh 158. 14 months out I now weigh 20 pounds less than my license says???? I would go get a new license but it renews in April so I guess I will wait. The other day a clerk checked my ID and said there is no way this is you--you don't even look like the same person. And isn't it a wonderful feeling when people call you tiny? It kind of makes up for those humiliations I felt over the years - the worst one was being put off a ride at a theme park for not being to buckle the safety harness in front of my children. I know how great you feel, congratulations! I thought I was the only one that fibbed to the DMV. So nice to know I am not alone!

Congrats I know how you feel I stop weighing myself for 3 weeks and did not even know that not only did i hit onederland but I have only a few more pounds to go to ht the "" standard weight of not being over weight''. But I feel good because I am only 8 pounds from my personal goal but loosing 150 pounds I am loving the new me going from a 3 x shirt to a medium was totally worth it. We all got this. :D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
