When u guys start to feel full what does it feel like? I think for me I'm starting to feel like it's stopping at bottom of esophagus or top of stomach almost like it will be stuck. Does that seem right?

Yup. I think that's a good way to describe it. As soon as you feel that "tightness" STOP. Anymore than that and it gets downright painful!

I weigh and measure my food to the capacity I was told my little tummy holds, and then never eat the last bite. If I get independant and eat too much, it does stack up my esophagus. Miss Tummy is the boss of me, and if I cross her - she punishes me for hours.

Just ate my first egg (s) since surgery. I had 1 whole egg and an extra egg white. So 1 1/2 eggs? I put mushrooms and swiss cheese in them. For the first time I realize what you mean by stuck in the esophagus feeling. And I only ate about 1/2 of it!! Yahoo, feels good to fill up quickly. Hope this continues.

Still on full liquids. I don't think I've hit the full meter but become disinterested in food. liquid can only satisfy my mind so much.

thats how I feel, too. I'm 2.5 weeks out and should only be on puréed and very soft food, but I have tried little bites of different things, and some things have gotten "stuck" halfway down. Little bites of more solid foods that a chew to mush I have tolerated. Softer foods (egg salad) have gotten stuck if not chewed enough.

In any event, I lose interest in food pretty fast.

Except pepperoni.

Yes, I actually think that is when I may have had too much...and it is definitely full! Last night I overate something because I was not mindful- in fact- I attempted to finish it simply because it was in front of me. Miss Mac is right when she says to measure and when I see my doc on Wednesday I'm going to ask them about that. I am keeping a notebook so I can jot down questions as they come up- I was still stupified one week after surgery. lol.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
