My stats are 240/5'5". I am post op day 3 and am thrilled that my pain is just about gone. I haven't been hungry yet maybe just a little mental hunger but that passed quickly. I weighed my self today at 230 so I hope the weight keeps falling off.

That's what my stats are too! Well I was 244lbs. But I'm 5'5. My first day and a half were miserable. I didn't know if I was going to make it lol. My pain is very much tolerable now. I was sleeved on Monday the 18th. So I'm only 3 days out. I'm so excited about what this is going to do to my life. I got the hardest part done in my opinion. I have gotten to where I thought I was hungry but the feeling went away quickly. I'm getting to start my Protein Shakes tomorrow but I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet. I may stick with the Clear Liquids and clear Protein a few more days. My current weight is 233lbs. I think I'd be less if they hadn't pumped me with so much Fluid. I had to stay an extra day because of the pain I was in and the throwing up. It was horrible! My husband and I want children so that's why I got this done. I have pcos and it has totally wrecked my body. I'll be praying for all of you! Good luck in your journeys.

I have PCOS too. I was sleeved on the 18th as well. My surgery weight was 250. I am still swollen from all the gas. That was my biggest pain. I woke and felt like I couldn't breathe. I have yet to be nauseated, but I keep my nausea cream on me at all times. I started my Premier Protein yesterday because I couldn't drink my Unjury, I just couldn't drink it... BLAH. But the premier is delish. It's not clear but my dietician said I could start it. I go to dr wed for week 1 post op appt

Hi All, I was sleeved on 5/18. Stats: 264/, 5'7.

My doctor put me on clear liquids for two weeks then advance to Protein with puree. The clear liquids are getting boring. Does anyone know of a good clear protein. The ensure one makes me sick. I have no energy. I am living on Miso broth and ice pops, sugar free. Every time I drink I feel a pressure, a need to burp. Then it goes away. I am taking SMALL sips. Very carefully. Does anyone else have this pain in mid chest with need to belch? Clear protein?

Me! My cousin had it a week before me and she says it goes away but I'm dying. I can't even take a fulfilling drink of Water. I've tried to eat refried Beans but it also gave me the need to burp feeling. It doesn't last long but it happens with every drink or bite. I have been eating sugar free Jello.

Good evening, the same is occurring with me also. It happens even with Jello but not so much with warm liquids(broths). I'm 9 days post op, but I also had a hernia repaired. I just transitioned to yogurts and soupy oatmeal. Because of the pain, I've limited those and decided on the broth a little longer. I too am praying it passes. Please keep me posted as to how anyone is/has handled this issue.

Does anyone know of a good clear Protein?

I know some people drink the Isopure clear drinks. I like the ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates that I was able to get from my surgeon's office. You can also order it online from sites like Bariatricchoice.com.

I had this pain day 2 and 3. Someone recommended raising your hands above your head when you feel this sensation. Its helped me...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
