8 months out and I don't know if I'm eating to much

Recommended Posts

So my bw:246 cow:179 gw: 150. So I feel I'm eating to much I don't know if this is normal I don't go see my doctor until may 13. I'm driving myself crazy taking pictures to show my doc on how much I'm eating. It's been I think two months that I haven't lost anything the scale goes up and down from 174 to 169 then 170. Please someone please help me explain why this is happening. I know there is a stop of wonderland that you stop loosing every week. Have I reached it already. Plus I eat right yea there sometimes I have a cheat meal and work out three times a week. Please someone let me know.

Are you logging your food? How many calories and carbs do you have daily? Are you getting in your Protein and fluids? It is hard to say if you are eating too much, without knowing what it is you are eating daily.

How often are you having cheat meals? And what do they consist of? Are you getting in your Water?

Keep in mind the closer to goal you get the harder it may be for the weight to come off. Those cheat meals may be holding you back.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
