Whosaydaddy...that is AWESOME!! Congratulations!! Is a half or full marathon in your future? I did the Nike Women's Marathon is San Fran in October.....all 240lbs of me!! Now that I'm banded and losing weight, I can't imagine how great the next one will be. I start training in April. Keep it up....that is a HUGE accomplishment!!

A half-marathon is 13.1 miles and full marathon is 26.2 miles. I know.....CRAZY! I trained for 7 months and walk/trotted the whole way. But I finished!!I trained with a program called Team in Training which is part of the Leukemia/Lymphoma society. Incredible organization...they provide everything you need to train for and complete an event. If you can do a 10K, you CAN definitely do a half-marathon. Keep up the good work!!

Cerrin...you got to try the Couch to 5K program!

It gets you running incredibly well.

the thought of 5k scares the crap out of me.:smile:

Where can I look at the program?

How quick do you get to 5k?

Just a couple for me:

1-Last May DW's cousin was getting married in IL. I tried on almost all of the clothes in my closet to find something to wear to both the rehearsal and the wedding. Nothing fit, way to small. Had to go out and buy new clothes for both. Last month I tried on all those clothes that didn't fit. I had to get rid of all of them because they are way too big.

2-Jeans have gone from size 48 to 44 with pleating (sp) from the belt being too tight.

3-had measurements done at the gym. Bf% has gone from almost 31% to 19% and lost almost 40 inches off my body.

My best NSV was today. I left my jackets last night, and didn't have one to wear this morning. My husband threw me his (which has always barely gotten around my shoulders) and it fit PERFECTLY. I told him he never gets it back!

I have been packing away all my clothes to give away. Not one item is left except socks!! I bought 2 pairs of size 14p pants last month- now they are too loose after a couple of hours. 2 new pair of size 12p are perfect (for now!) my goal is to be in a size 8 before the summer. I love this! Whenever I lost wt before I just packed up everything because I knew I'd need them again- not anymore. Out they go:thumbup:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
