I had all my labs drawn today and a Doppler of my legs scheduled for Monday. Everything should be back by mid week and can then be submitted to insurance for approval. I'm so ready for this. We leave for England a week from Monday so I really want all these hoops jumped thru

Kinda ticked off at my PCP. The VSG office gave me the script of labs for Endoscopy for July 17, on 6/22 went and had them drawn. Monday the VSG office called me to state not all labs requested were done. So this morning, I had to go to Quest Diagnostics to have the rest done. My PCP will get a mindful once all this pre-surgery stuff is done. Just very frustrating. This Friday I have my last NUT office and then Endoscopy next Friday.

All my labs are done and pre surgery testing is complete! I call my surgeons office tomorrow to verify they've received all info and I move to the next step of getting insurance approval. I leave for vacation Monday so I'd love to get approval back when we get home the following Tuesday

Called back to surgeons office. I'm ready to be submitted to insurance for approval BUT they still don't have the physicians notes correct. Ugh. This has been ongoing since June 22.

I'm in southern california. surgery date 8/3, starting to freak a little. 57 years old, fighting with weight over 30 years. Tired of being hungry, knees hurting, tired, just not feeling well and healthy. One thing they did not make me do was a sleep study, have my pre-op 7/22 will ask then. Good luck to all of us. Trying to imagine a healthier life and smaller clothes. Last time I flew I almost could not secure seat belt, terrible feeling, it did pop open on landing and i just put my jacket on top of me, too embarrassed to tell flight attendant, hope this will soon be all behind me.

I am in southern california, scheduled for 8/3. Getting nervous, have my pre-op seminar 7/22 and prop with surgeon. Then just wait for the surgery day. I decided to wait until mu husband finishes teaching summer school, and then he has 3 weeks off. Sometimes I cannot believe I am doing this, but so tired of being hungry, tired, pain in knees etc. Good luck to all of us, and heres to a healthier us too.

Hello fellow August sleevers!! My surgery is scheduled for August 3rd. I have one more week to eat everything on my bucket list and to drink Coke. Then I start my liquid diet and the beginning to my new healthy life! I am not going to mourn food since I'll still be able to eat my favorites-just in much smaller portions. But I'm going to embrace a new healthy lifestyle and this tool that will help me achieve it.

I'm self-pay so not too many hoops to jump through. Consent and labs visit 7/20, EGD 7/29 and surgery 8/12. Pre-op diet is 3 weeks liquid. I'm so excited!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
