My surgery is Tuesday, and know what you mean. I'm anxious more than anything, but also a little nervous. My wife had her surgery on 17 March, and the worst pain she had while in the hospital was the drain that was in her side. Said that was very uncomfortable, especially when she would get out of bed. Once she got home, her biggest complaint by far was Constipation. She did well getting up and moving around pretty regularly. Her most pain was getting up, either out of bed or out of the chair. Once up, she was OK. I'm no help on the bra part. Best of luck to you and I'll be right behind you.

During surgery you take everything off and wear a gown and maybe socks. No bra, no underwear. I haven't worn a bra since I took mine off to have surgery on Monday. There's an incision right at my bra line that I don't want to irritate.

Ugh...i hate the girls flopping around....lol...i kinda figured that but I thought maybe....thanks blashlee.

Well you'll be laying down mostly lol I have an incision right at my bra line. So until today I wasn't able to wear a bra. If I had to go out I wore a sports bra and tucked it so it wouldn't rub against the incision.

Had RNY 19 days ago. I feel pretty much back to normal now. The first few days the only real pain was when I had to get in and out of bed or a chair. The hardest part was the exhaustion. Was just so tired. Still feel more tired now than I used to but am sure part of that is the reduced calorie intake. I had no incisions near my bra line so wore a bra as soon as I got home from the hospital. The hospital stay was only 2 nights.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
