I just bought some Pacific brand organic Santa Fe style chicken Soup. I strained it and gave my husband all the bulk and had the broth. It was the BEST thing I've had in over two weeks!!

I was sleeved on 4/2/15. I'm looking for a buddy too. I just found this app and it has been great reading that others are going through similar things. I am feeling great, have already started waking and the past two days walked 1.25 miles. It did take me longer than usual, but I'm moving. The only thing that concerns me is that it feels like my stomach is spasming off and on all day and I get a pain in my chest. It happens wether I'm drinking or not. No nausea, but I feel like I have to breathe through the pain. I don't think I'm taking too big of sips. Any suggestions? If that would go away, I'd be feeling almost back to normal.

Kathy

@@MrsG'sjourney I know EXACTLY the feeling you are describing. I have it too. I was sleeves March 31st and the only thing I can say is it slowly is getting better. I've read that a lot of people have said that the feeling we both have is just how we have to get used to our individual sleeve, IDK, it sure does suck though! I have been noticing since I'm onto soft foods that it isn't quite as bad anymore. I hope it lightens up for you!! GL! ????

I had that same feeling but it has gone away. Pre-op the dr gave me the hyoscyamine tablets to dissolve under my tongue 4 times a day for after surgery. Those are what stopped that squeezing in my chest feeling for me. ????

Thanks Loss78! It has definitely gotten better. I have been getting in my Protein as well as my fluids. I do wonder if there is a limit on how much I can take because sometimes it feels like I can just keep going. I guess I haven't pushed myself to that limit yet. I don't really feel hungry but it is a constant struggle with head hunger.

Mine was on March 30 and I have absolutely no pain whatsoever. I haven't for several days actually. I feel a little bad because I never had any nausea or other significant problems.

About the only discomfort I have is when I try to drink too much. I'm also a little sore in the morning when I 1st wake up. Other than that, no real problems.

It has gotten so much better. I'm two weeks today and pretty much pain free. The only thing I'm struggling with is stamina. It takes me a bit longer to walk these days and it's frustrating. I think I forget that I had Major surgery two weeks ago and should lighten up on myself. I'm at least waking 2 miles a day, it takes me about 45 minutes. Which prior to surgery took about 1/2 the time.

Hi all I'm so glad you guys are sharing your experiences. I too had hernia repair and deep breaths are painful. Seems like whatever they do in there, this is a common after effect.

Yes, it is! Mine was in the upper left chest through the back. Sharp pains when inhaling. My surgeon told me that there is a nerve that runs through that exact area that becomes irritated during the hiatal hernia repair. I'm 3 days post op and I still feel the pain if I take a deep breath, but it's a LOT better. It's definitely a normal thing!

Congratulations All!

My sleeve was April 1....April Fools Day!

We all need to celebrate! Started driving yesterday.

I feel like I am free at last! Just kidding. Really impressed with everyone's

walking distances. I need to get back with the program! Been walking those 10-15 minute spurts! Think I need to increase my times.

Feel great....still losing everyday. Really exciting! Cause I know it WILL

slow down. Want to savor this honeymoon! Linda

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
