Hi Everyone,

I'm having my Sleeve done on 1 April, and I'm looking for people who will be having surgery the same day. I want a group where we are all going through the same thing at the same time. Here we can talk about:

- Pre-Op To Do's

- Grocery List for After the surgery

- Vitamin Intake

- Concerns

- Post-Op Journey

- Success

- And anything that will help us with our journey.

I hope to meet some long lasting friends that understand our Struggle.

I am also going to be sleeved on April 1st. At this point all i can say is I can not wait, this 2 weeks of liquids is driving me crazy. My weight did not come from eating sweets, I am a bread and Pasta gal. All these sweet shakes, Jello and pudding .... yuk. I need something a little on the salty side, Any suggestions ????

I'm a bread and Pasta gal myself. And part of my weight is stress related. I'm not too sure of anything saltly. I didn't have to do 2 weeks of liquids. I actually start my liquids on Monday. I think I would of gone nuts if I had to do it for 2 weeks. Have you done any shopping yet?

Hello April 1st Sleevers

How is everyone doing????

Tomorrow is our first week Anniversary!

I feel great lots of challenges getting all Protein in!

Yet, in the big picture I am so pleased with my decision!

Today I finally hit my Pre-op day weight! GAINED 8 lbs

With all those fluids!!!! Scary! Now ready to watch

The scales start that downward movement!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Linda

I'm right in here with the two of you. I'm 4/2. Now that most of the pain is gone I am doing better at drinking my shakes and getting Water. I have done mostly water, but crystal light with some crunch ice is feeling like a blessed treat. I was walking/running before surgery and did a 5k the Sunday before surgery. I think the past 4 months of exercise has really helped me get up and get moving.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
