Good morning....Okay is it just me or am I doing something wrong here....Here it is, I am 4 weeks post op and so far I have only lost 25lbs since my surgery...I know that if you don't get in your Proteins and all it can slow down your weight lost (understand that). I have been able to up my Protein intake now that I am on soft foods and all and now I can get protein in by other ways besides my Protein drinks and shakes....I am doing my exercise and all...so what gives...I am lost, seems like nothing that I am doing is working to jump start my weight lost again...If any one have any input...please help!!!

Don't panic. At the 6 week mark I was down 32 pounds. It took me 7 months to reach my bottom weight. So give it some time and keep with the program.

To be honest, I was hoping to be down 30 by the end of my 3 week post op...But it seems I'm at a stand still since the 9th of the month....know that I maybe looking to much in it...but I have my second post op apt with my doctor next month and I'm trying to make sure that I reach my weight lost goal of losing another 25lbs by then.

The average weight lost from the gastric sleeve is 1-2 pounds per week, so you are doing well! Stay positive!!!

Celebrate your 25pd loss. Really who loses 25pds in a month! That's awesome! Just follow your plan. You also may want to take a break from the scale, eventually the weight will come off. Many people face a stall in the 3rd week post op for unknown reasons.

Okay I have a question. I just got home from the hospital a few hours ago and before I got into bed I decided to weigh myself and I have gained 7 pounds. I lost 12 prior to surgery and gained 7 of it back in 2 days. Please tell me theres no reason to panic.

There is no need to worry. In the hospital they pump you up with fluids to keep you hydrated. You'll pee it out in the coming days.. I hope you don't actually think you gained 7 pounds of fat in the hospital.

I remember doing the same thing when I came home from the hospital too....I wonder the same thing at first. But like someone else stated, it was everything that they put in you while you were in there from the gas from your surgery to all the IV...

Trust me I am....glad to be down the 25lbs that I lost when I went to my 3 week post op appt....But I'm going to continue with my weight lost journey and allow myself time and my body to adjust to everything.

@@jrp12365 I gained 11 during my stay in the hospital and it took me 3 days to get that off. So yes, it happens and I also panicked, so hang in there and congrats on the start of your new healthier life!

I would be thrilled with your weight loss. My surgeon said to expect 10# loss per month so you are already past that.

I also gained in the hospital-4#. Loss that and 6 more 6 days post op and today I gained 2 back. I am having a terrible time with all the sf additives-aspertame/stevia/etc so I am stopping all that and taking a break from the scale for a few days. 1st post op appt tomorrow

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
