Hi! My name is Elle & I was sleeved this Monday on 03/09/15 & definitely the first 2 days were the worse! I'm definitely dying to eat a cracker or something with substance! I can't stand the Protein Shakes at all! Hope you are recovering well.

Hi.. I also was sleeved on March 9th.. I agree the first 2 days were aweful!

I ended up staying 4 days in the hospital. The problem I am having is keeping my blood sugar stable. I am not diabetic, but I am getting low blood sugars and now have to test my blood sugar 6 times a day. Didn't expect that! They have to figure out now what is causing it and how to keep it in the normal range. I am not experiencing any hunger and it's hard to get in the liquids that's I am suppose to have for the whole day. I am feeling better as every day passes. I hope we all will feel better soon!

I was also sleeved Monday. The first two days were tough. Couldn't get down more than about 100 calories, and couldn't poop. I think I've got a decent routine now.

- 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm - Protein shake mixed with 4oz Water and 4oz skim milk.

- Sip mixture of three parts Water and one part juice or Gatorade throughout the day.

- 4oz prune juice before bed.

Still not easy, but I getting the Protein I need without much discomfort. Guilty pleasure for the day, I opened a jar or Peanut Butter just for a smell. :-)

I was actually sleeved on 3/10/15. The first few days were pretty rough but my doc wanted me up moving around as much as I could to help with the gas pains. I had a hard time getting in all my liquids at first but it's easier now. I've lose about 10 pounds since Tuesday. It's just nuts! Good luck to everyone!

Sleeved on the 9th. The second day my worst. Hard to get in Protein and Water. Unfortunately 6 days out I got a kidney stone (unrelated) but put me back in the hospital. I had another surgery last night to put s stent in my kidney. My recovery has been anything but normal, but I can easily say that the VSG was much more tolerable! Down 10 lbs!

Hi Niners! I had my surgery on the 9th also. Gas pains boy was I not prepared for that! I was hating life until one giant fart on Wednesday afternoon. I swear I could feel my insides rearrange! Pain has been very managable but the smell of any of my Protein makes me want to get sick. I can get most of my Fluid but not the protein. Hoping that will get better after follow up next week. Good luck to everyone!

Hi All! Staples out today! Feels great! Doc gave me thumbs up for light weights, elliptical, stationary bike, and road bike as long as I take it easy and keep it on flat roads. There's a bike path about .5 miles from the house, so looks like a trial ride to the beach tomorrow! Wish me luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
