Angeldarling I was actually in the hospital a little less than 24 hours, which included an overnight.

I stayed overnight but slightly less than 24 hrs. Im so glad that my Dr. did require the stay. I just felt like they did everthing to make sure I was ok before releasing me. Every couple of hours someone was in my room checking my vitals, making me walk and sitting up these little 1 oz cups of Water to make sure that I was drinking. I brought the cups home and they really help to remind me to drink. The goal is to drink 6 cups every hour that you are awoke. Im still having trouble getting in all 64 oz though.

I went in under the assumption that I would be staying 1 night. Spiked a fever 101.7 and doc wanted to be on safe side and kept me till next day. Otherwise could have went home as no pain nor need of pain meds. Took antibiotic and tylenol and was good to go.

I had to stay overnight for insurance purposes. Actually stayed about 30 hrs because my bladder didn't want to put out any urine so I also had to wait for that to happen.

Hummmm, I'm feeling a little deprived of staying overnight. I went into surgery at 9:40 a.m. and sent out the door by 3:00 p.m. But, when it was all said and done, I was very glad to be home and in my own bed.

I was supposed to be over night, but ended up in for two. My heart rate and blood pressure wouldn't come back up after surgery and I was very nausious (sp?). Since I live 45 mins from the hospital, the surgeon felt I should stay another night...glad I did...I would have been fine, but it gave me peace of mind to know I was in the right place if a complication arose. Got home last night and feel pretty darn good today!

I ended up having to stay 5 nights. I picked up a lovely little stomach virus so i wasn't able to go home until i could keep down liquids. It was so boring but all the nurses were great.

Thank you for all of your responses! I am hoping to be in and out in the same day. My surgery is 3 weeks from today! Congrats to everyone on getting the lap-band. You are all an inspiration to me.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
