April 18, 2014 - Hit a major stall/plateau

Recommended Posts

I'm down 70lbs since surgery but it's literally been months since I've had consistent loss. I can't seem to find the balance. I eat right and walk daily but that doesn't seem to be enough.

Everywhere I read it says I should be consuming around 1000 calories a day.

I'd like to know what others are doing to continue to see consistent loss.

Thanks in advance!

Stacy

For me, the key was accurate measuring and tracking of my food intake. When I know I'm going to have to record it, I'm less tempted to allow myself extra treats.

Also, I experimented with the number of meals and Snacks each day and decided that 3 meals and 2 Snacks works for me. It might be different for you. Try different patterns for a week each and see which feels most comfortable without slowing your weight loss rate.

Thanks! After I posted I checked out a few other posts and someone mentioned increasing Protein and Water intake. So I have an updated meal plan that I am going to try this week to see if it can bump me back into high gear! :)

Stacy,

I was wondering how the new meal plan was working for you? I also have hit a major 4 month stall but I believe it is mostly because of my poor eating habits and lack of exercise more than anything else. I am trying to get back on track and was wondering if you would be willing to share your meal plan? I started at 270 and am at 195.8 but haven't been able to get under that for months. Any encouragement or words of advice would be extremely appreciated:)

Theresa

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
