Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice Tea

Recommended Posts

I was served some Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea and was surprised to find that it is sweet before you add any type of sweetener. I read the label and found the ingredients include cinnamon, roasted chicory, roasted carob, natural spice and vanilla flavors with other natural flavors, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, cloves and nutmeg.

Now I know that many of those things have a little bit of sweetness to them, but not enough to make the tea as sweet as it tastes. But the label also lists the carb/calorie count as zero. What gives? Is this tea weight loss friendly or do the "other natural flavors" include something I should beware of?

I love Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea and it also tastes sweet to me. It's the cinnamon that makes it taste sweet. It's delish!

I don't know, but I'll be trying them both since I love spiced tea...as Lon as they are decaffeinated! :)

I drink the Peach Passion Celestrial tea all the time. I think it's good for us to drink, no caffeine, herbal, no calories, no sugar and no carbs and I don't think there's anything hidden. I agree that some of the ingredients are naturally sweet and with us not exposing ourselves to "sweets" as often I think our taste buds have changed and now just a little goes along way. That's just my opinion but I've been drinking a couple of cups a day for the last month and I LOVE IT:-)

The Bengal spice was too strong for me. Way too much cinnamon for my taste.

I believe it's just spices and herbs and such.

Too much cinnamon? There's such a thing?

I didn't think so. Then I tried this tea.

I took the box into work months ago for others to have and it's still there. And believe me, I work with a large group of scavengers. :P

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
