Hey Tammy.

I was banded in dec and have just lost a little over 30 pounds. It is going much slower that i expected but atleast i am losing. I just had my 3rd fill last week, my doctor is very conservative with the fills but i guess in the long run it will be better for my overall health. But right now i am losing faith.

Looks like we are all in the same boat. I was banded 12-29 and have lost 30 lbs. 22 of it was in the first 4 weeks on the liquid diet. I am getting another fill

next week, and I am hoping that will get me losing again. I am rather disgusted.

Tammy, the search feature here will point you to even more threads about December bandsters, just use advanced search and search for thread titles with the word December in them. Here's a few specifically geared to December 2006 bandsters. Hope this helps!

I was banded on Dec 14th 06 and have lost about 60 pounds. But recently I have really fallen off the band wagon as far as watching what I eat and exercising. I am a junior in college and when I was at school usually had time to go to the gym for an hr/ hr 1/2. And since our food was crappy I didnt really have to worry about overeating! But now that Im home I work 11 hour days, and have 4 hours once I'm home to cook clean and spend time with my fiance. So... it kind of leaves me in a rut and I'm starting to get depressed about my slowing loss.... Maybe its just the 6 month thing...we all seem to be a little down these days...

Don't get discouraged! Just try to eat the Protein first. You have lost twice as much as me. I just got another fill yesterday and I don't think I can eat yet.

Do you think another fill would help you? I really didn't want to get one, but now I see that's exactly what I needed.

Hi Tammy & everyone else!

I was banded in Dec. '06

I just had my 2nd fill last week. I don't understand why I still don't feel much restriction. I haven't been doing well with my eating. I'm able to eat way too much. I can't wait to get to the "sweet spot" everyone talks about. I had oatmeal this morning, a big salad for lunch and rice with hamb. tonight. (The problem is: I still snack all day)

I think I'll try the South Beach plan or maybe counting calories. I realize that it takes more than this operation to lose the extra weight...I NEED TO CHANGE MY THINKING ABOUT food.

I've lost 30lbs. I hope to start losing again.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
