@@drmeow, thanks you have made some very good points, as I know how you feel about your food cop situation cause my father was that to me, as my mom was also overweight like I was all my life, except my mom didn't get overweight till after she had my sister who is 3 years younger than me, and so she was a bean pole all her childhood life, and although she didn't monitor really anything we ate as children she also didn't nag at us till we got older, me mostly. My brother is a heavy guy but he is also 6'3"? So a lot of his weight is in his height too? So I have really been the overweight person all my life in my family and my father used to nag about food, and tell me I have to loose weight. I hated it, so I don't nag at my son or tell him he can't eat things except soda, cause I really never allowed them soda since they were little cause I didn't want it to rot their teeth? His birthday is coming up and I have actually been thinking about buying him a weight bench for his birthday cause I know he likes doing weights and stuff like that, so that is probably what it will come to. Usually in the nicer months he does go outside all day running, playing, riding his bike, his uncle is going to take him rollerblading. we have a local park that has a skate park and he already knows how to roller blade and so to do that he will enjoy that, and then in August he starts his football season again, and that runs from August to the end of October and he has practice 4-5 days a week and then games on the weekends? So he will get plenty of working out in then too. I will be talking to his doctor at his next appt. and seeing if I am over reacting, cause I don't want him to develop the habits I have in my life. I love my kids way too much to put them through what I went through. Thanks

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
