BTW, I'm active hiking and kayaking at least on weekends. Our daily walks haven't happened in a couple of months due to a injury of mine.

@@RockinRobin59 - way to bust the plateau! Did you go to strictly liquids for a week? I'm considering it.

And thank you for the encouraging words. It means more than you know.

Ok so here I am joining this accountability group. I have been on a massive stall! I haven't lost since January. I have been WAY off track. I have been considering going back to see about getting a revision because I think my sleeve is stretched. I would really like to get back on track and see if I can lose get back on track without the revision though so this week I am starting new. I am starting with the phase 1 post op diet.

Hey everyone - it's been crazy busy here, so I've been off this site for a bit. I'm glad you're having a run of on-plan days @s_suther ! Good going!!

Since you asked -- Honestly, I'd think about doubling that Protein (given how your body has adjusted to losing and depending on that Protein, it seems unlikely your're converting it to sugar - but I'm no nutritionist!). If so, try to spread it out through the day. It looks like that's not much to run on. (I like adding chocolate Protein powder to nonfat Greek yogurt, sometimes with a bit of SF caramel flavor--it's wonderful! I also like deli sliced Boars' Head Golden chicken as a go-to protein snack with almost no fat or carbs, and since it's moister than turkey it goes down better for me.)

My calories are about the same as before, but my nut/trainer is upping carbs slowly as long as I'm still losing. I do 75 carbs, 58 fat, 170 protein and calories end up between 1450 and 1540 most days.

A few more carbs might make you feel a little better energy-wise or satiety-wise, but if you're staying Keto that may not work. One thing I'd definately say helps is staying very close to the same macros every day. I tried doing that "Staying under X gms" idea, and the fluctuations in carbs caused my body to hold onto fat because it couldn't trust I'd consistently give it all the food it needed as fuel. Maybe try staying right on your 45 g carb goal?

I lost a few pounds this month, which is good since a had a week were I had to do dinner meetings four in a row! About killed me, and even though I was careful and planned ahead, and restaurants were nice to tell me portion size, etc., how they cook it varies enough that I know i was way off. Anyway, I popped up to 174, and now am back to 171, so pleased at that today.

I've been working my way back down from a vacation gain last year when I just ate whatever junk I wanted for too long (SO not worth it!). I"m still 3 pounds away from being back to my lowest last summer, but I did my measurements today, and they're way better than back then--Hooray! More muscle and less fat. My waist and hips are the biggest areas of loss, which is just fine with me. :D

Good luck breaking your stall, @thecamiraye and glad you're 'accountability-ing' with us.

Nice job breaking YOUR stall, @RockinRobin59 ! Funny how our bodies sometimes respond, eh?

Hope everyone's doing well this Monday morning. Good to be back on!

Kate

@@katesuccess thanks for the suggestions! I have spread my carbs out and am sticking close to that 45g -50g per day. I do feel better and was down a whole pound this morning. That's better than the measly half pound from the last few weeks! I also looked back and this is where I always get stuck, the 180s. Hopefully I'm on my way out of that decade now and things will progress a little faster from here.

How's everybody??

Hey, that's great @s_suther!! So happy for you. Nice work. :D

Mine just got bumped up from 75 to 80, since I'm still losing at these macros, albeit slowly. Since betting to the 170s my rate of loss is more like one pound a week it seems, give or take a half. I"m feeling okay about that, and it helps me live into the mindset that this is not a short term goal. Also that i'm pretty happy with how I feel and look and what I can do even now with still 25 lbs to go!

I notice you're the same height I am, and close to same weight lost. I forget if you've already said what your goal weight is, or are you doing it more by feel?

I'm off to our teeny cabin for a couple days, and back to work Saturday night. Can't believe how much stuff I have to prep and pack up food-wise to do this sort of thing. Sheesh. It'll be worth it, I hope.

Have a good weekend!
Kate

My doc and I are thinking 160-165. I feel good, fit comfortably in my size 10s, and can maintain there. I hit a low of 165 a couple years ago and would be tickled to get back to that!

Have an awesome time of rest and fun at the cabin!

Your doctor sounds wonderfully sane!

Mine gave me the goal of 145, which I know he did based strictly on BMI charts. For me that sounds too low, and I suspect i'll look 20 years older if I get there. I'm also not sure if I'd feel good at that weight, or if maintaining it would be a torturous struggle for me.

My body fat percentage isn't too bad even now (~33%), and so I'll evaluate as I go I think. In my head I've been thinking 150-155, but I'm presently at 169 and not terribly unhappy with it. I'm size 12 these days, though I'd like to be 8-10 ideally. Either way, losing that much more this slowly feels a bit like an eternity from here!

Does anyone else find their day today wait fluctuations irritating? I am still trying to lose, and am waiting daily because I get to fixated on the scale if I only weigh once a week. (I.e. One bad day out of seven is no big deal, but about the scale day when I only do it once a week makes me nuts).

Anyway, yesterday and the day before I was down to 169, today 170.6. Not a big deal, but my body things to do this all the time – and I realized today it irritates me because it feels like I'm having to lose every pound twice, LOL!

Like I say, no big deal – but still mildly irritating nonetheless. It might BE Tuesday, but it feels like Monday to me! Sigh.

I'm with you too. I had to go to weekly and will switch back to monthly if issues come back up again.

BTW, I didn't even weigh this morning for fear of discouragement. The scale makes me nuts and it just wasn't worth it today.

Okay ladies, how's everyone doing? Are you glad to see Monday roll around again, or not-so-much?

@s_suther

@RockinRobin59

@thecamiraye

Monday is my check-in day, although I weigh every day just to see. I lost .7 lb this week, which given how freaking much exercise I did is too darned little! Hah hah. I did four gym workouts this week, three of them with cardio added on, then a 10 mile hike on Saturday where my fitbit registered 350 flights of stairs, LOL! It was expected to be a 3600 foot elevation gain, so I guess I should be glad it wasn't any more than that, eh? It rained the first half of the climb, and then misted most of the remainder, but then at the top of the mountain the clouds parted for about five minutes and gave us an INCREDIBLE view! What a nice reward that was. :D

Anyone have plans coming this week? Challenges? I've got dinner out on Thursday but I can plan ahead somewhat. They never cook/serve exactly as they say on the phone though. Then another evening event out on Friday--I'll take seltzer, and eat before hand and plan a treat to come home to so i'm not tempted to eat junk there.

Hope all is well with everyone! Happy Monday! :rolleyes:

Hi folks - and @@Alex Brecher especially - @@s_suther is having problems being allowed to post. Here's her response to my PM: Accountability Group

I can't start a thread or reply to topics, even the one I started. I sent a message to the forum and hope they can straighten out my account. I think it's just me. I tried the app and online to no avail. Keep us going while I am unable to post, maybe even share my issue there so people know I'm not ignoring or have run away. :)

Help?!

Kate

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

      Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
