@@s_suther the "secret mission" was canceled. We were headed to Doraville GA and was turned back north in Knoxville. I was happy actually, I dont like being gone from the family that long. I'm that guy that can't tell the boss man "no". So I get reassigned a lot.I ate a bit easier yesterday. My bride made me egg salad for today. I ate a half cup so far and drank a Tomato juice. And a boost nutritional drink. 20 min elliptical tonight no excuses.

Hello all! Sorry no post from me yesterday. Had a down day. But that is done and over.

Just a question... How many calories do you allow your self a day when trying to lose? Mfp has me down for 1200. Idk if that's reasonable or too much.

Welcome back Butterfly. I stopped tracking calories about a month ago but when I was logging I was maintaining even at around 1200. I think it's my age and my destroyed metabolism from years of overeating and obesity, but for me to lose I need to consistently eat less than that. I'm almost 54. Sucks. I still want to lose 50 more pounds but I'm so sick of the cycle of dieting and being hungry.

I stay under 1000 per day and then have one day/week that's 1200-1400. This seems to boost metabolism and keep me on a losing streak. The only thing I fight is letting that one day turn into two or three...

I needed solid food so I planned it and made it happen today. I had 2 eight ounce shakes with added Fiber powder, an Oscar Mayer P3 (great coupons and sure do like those for lunch!), and a bacon & egg pita for dinner. I had 710c, 76p, 15nc. I drank 72 oz Water and will get in some form of exercise this evening.

How are all of you????

Thanks s_suther... I think I'm heading to the store today to get supplies for a couple of days of liquids. I've read some other bandsters do this on occasion. I'm hoping this will help refocus my brain, rest my pouch tummy and get me back on track. For today...

B-greek yogurt

L- cup of chili 5 saltines

S-baby shower try to stay with fruit & cheese

D-not sure yet. Maybe meatballs & mushrooms in sauce

Have a great day!

GOOOOD MORNING!!!

Let's take today and make it happen!!!

I didn't get exercise in last night, let myself slip into a pity party. I did eat totally as planned though, so I'll take it since I fought head hunger all stinkin' day long.

Today's plan:

B-8 oz shake w/fiber

L-Rev wrap and greek yogurt

S-8 oz shake w/fiber

D-pork chop

828c, 108p, 34nc

As you can see from those stats, I've cut net carbs and increased Protein in an attempt to boost weight loss. My NP suggested I try it and see if it helps with this last 20-30 pounds I want to lose. I've got to quit fooling around and make it happen if I really, truly want to see my goal weight. I could actually do it by fall if I'd get serious.

Woke up this morning and told myself I'm making time for ME today and the first thing on my list was to get on this site! Life has been moving quickly the last several weeks which is all good but remembering to take time for yourself can easily get lost in all the craziness along with being conscious about choices. This weekend wasn't my greatest success by any means but it wasn't an epic fail either because it reinerated what I already knew about myself and that is while I don't need to be a control freak about everything I put in my mouth I do need to continually be conscious of my choices and to pay attention while I'm eating; to slow down and listen to the band. When I'm busy, stressed or just mindless, I tend to just grab things because I didn't have time to plan, I don't slow down when I'm eating , I do however still make it a point to portion out my food before eating but I'm still in a hurry and so I'm shoveling it in and forgetting to listen for that signal I'm used to and boy does it let me know about it afterwards. That full miserable feeling comes over you all of a sudden and you just feel like crap. As we all know when we're stressed our bands tend to tighten so that "normal" portion size I put in front of me doesn't give me permission to eat like a tazmanian devil and ignore what my band says is enough.

So no matter how busy and stressful life can get I need to remember to take time for me, take a deep breath and take a moment to put things in perspective. Easier said then done obviously but again it's the being conscious of what I need to do that I feel is the most important thing. When I loss that consciousness that's when I feel like I need to be concerned.

The only thing I had planned for today was my Breakfast so lunch is going to be a hunt for the best of what's available. dinner will be a Weight Watchers.

Getting on this site helps me to refocus! Thanks for the continued support. I hope everyone is doing great!

Checking in today. Feeling pretty good about eating choices, though I would like to be moving more...I'm not trying to push it.

Stress is...well I (fingers crossed, knocking on wood, saying a prayer, lighting a candle, doing what ever it takes!!!) is easing up and I am breathing a little easier.

Happy Wednesday!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
