How many people attend this support group meeting? I started attending the monthly meetings at Kent General as a pre-op. Always looking to meet others who have been through the process.

Hello:

I too have been to the KG group, I picked different day to meet so you can do both if you choose. This is just getting started so there are just 3-4 regulars right now but hoping to expand. We focus more on the individual and the support you may need or can offer to the group. Come out and give us a try I think you will like the group. If you have more questions fire away. I am here to help.

Hi! Are you still doing these support meetings? I'm going through Walter Reed bariatric surgery program and i need to attend 5 support group meetings before surgery. I'm guessing these would count.

Yes, we meet every 3rd Thursday of the Month at 5:30 pm, so our next meeting is August 20th, I do have Jury Duty this week so I hope that does not mess up my meeting. I think we may have already talk on the phone before. I hope to see you there!

Nope I haven't talked to you on the phone yet. I have a friend who just had the sleeve done last week who I hope to bring with me sometime. Have you met with any other Walter Reed bariatric surgery patients? Or are any in your group?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
