Debating a haircut

Recommended Posts

I've never been thin with long hair. I grew it out over the last few years. I'm in Onederland now, and unfortunately have thinned out hair due to surgery. I'm not happy with the way it's looking lately (gets stringy and droopy by end of the day) and I'm debating getting a blunt cut, maybe chin length. I'm having another very minor surgery (not WLS related) in January and I'm scared that the anesthesia will cause another round of Hair loss.

I'm wondering if shorter hair is more forgiving.

Thoughts on a dramatic hair cut?

I cut off 12 inches 4 months post op and I love it! I had very thick hair pre op and my hair was coming out A LOT. It was really gross and bothering me a lot so I just decided to go for it. I figured, it's just hair... And it will grow back. And I could always get a wig if it turned and that terrible. I also donated the hair so that made me feel even better about the decision. I'd say go for it :) ! Good luck

If you want to get an idea of how it will look first my suggestion is get an inexpensive wig and live with it a little at home or you can get a digital haircut. There are several websites that offer this one I like is http://www.instyle.com/instyle/makeover/ It allows you to choose styles and color. Whatever you decide will be the right desicion. Good luck and have fun:)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
