Need to lose 10-15 pounds in two weeks. Any advice

Hello,

I have my final meeting with my nutritionist on January 19 and then meet with my surgeon again on January 20. Unfortunately I have recently gained about ten pounds. It happened very quickly, during the last month. Part of this was due to overeating at the Holidays and part of it is because I have been on prednisone for a pinched nerve. If I don't lose the weight, they will not go forward with the surgery. Starting today, I will do Protein shakes. Can I please have advice on how many a day, whether I should eat anything else at all, etc. Is my goal even feasible?

I have gain 10lbs to and I'm trying to get back in the swing... the all liquids is an excellent idea I'm going to start 1/8/14... good luck on getting the weight off keep me posted on your focus and if you need any motivation I'm here

For all of you trying to lose weight prior to weigh in or when you need to for preop diet I recommend the Premium Protein, Atkins and EAS shakes. They are all high protein and most have 1-3 grams of sugar and super low carb. I am on my preop diet and have lost 10 pounds in 7 days. My doctor suggested 75 grams of protein, clear broths, 64oz of Water and as much exercise as i can handle. I've made a commitment to myself that I need to follow through and the easiest tool i found to keep track was the MyFitnessPal app.

Good luck to you all.

I have my last diet doc (6th one) on feb 5th. That's 21 days from now. I'm hopeful to lose 15lbs. The doc said to do shakes for "a while" to get used to them before the real pre op liver reduction diet. So..here's for hoping.

I'm with you girl! I hope that it all came together for you.

I went on a low calorie high protein diet.Premier shakes and honey roasted peanuts for breakfast and lunch and a lean cuisine for dinner for two weeks.I lost 25 lbs on the dot in 2 weeks.and of course drinking a ton of water as well
