I'm starting puréed foods and have no fucking idea what I'm doing or what to eat and it literally makes me cry. I'm ready to just give up and stop trying to eat. Sorry for the annoying rant.

@@katmaar No that's exactly the opposite of what you need to do. Purée food is just that, food that's puréed. You can Have egg salad, tuna salad, any Soup, chili, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, applesauce, heck just about anything. Don't worry about the calories ect...so much at this point your not going to be able to eat enough for it to really matter..( I wouldn't eat a bunch of sugar though) just make what ever you like and blend it up. Heck eat baby food if you need too. Some is actually yummy! If you need to add unflavored Protein to the mix do it. If you can get your protein from shakes ect...Then don't worry about adding it into the blend. Just eat!

Ricotta bake was one of my favorites, along with refried Beans and homemade crab cakes ( these things are already soft so you don't need to blend them) my stage was purée /mushy combined. Look at it that way not everything had to go into A blender.

@@katmaar If you don't already have something to blend with you can get the mini ninja blended/chopper at Walmart for 20 bucks. I really only used mine maybe 2-3 times though I mainly stuck with really soft foods. I hope this helps. I know it can be frustrating but take a breath and don't make it hard on yourself! Now, that will be enough of that "giving up" nonsense!!ha!

Plain Greek yogurt flavored with Protein powder, blended split pea Soup, blended bean soup, sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes with unflavored Protein Powder, egg salad, pureed cauliflower, soft cheeses, guacamole, hummus, cream of wheat with vanilla or chocolate Protein Powder, pureed tuna salad, refried Beans, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, (these last 3 along with green chili sauce makes a great huevos rancheros!). And cottage cheese with Muscle Milk cake batter Protein powder makes a tasty cheesecake.

Honestly, this was my favorite food stage because everything tasted SO GOOD after a month of liquids!

My boyfriend is the star chef in this house. He took whatever meat and veggies he was having and put some in the blender with a little broth for me. I had tried baby food, but without any seasonings at all, it was hard to get down. I even had Wendy's chili in the blender. I also ate a lot of applesauce during that phase.

I also do what @@Elode did I never put anything in the blender it's grossed me out the first time. Iam sticking to soft foods or just chewed my food until it's purée ... Then swallow. If you can shred your chicken like into a tuna fish consistency it's ok too. Just try them minutes apart when it's new food and texture so you know if you ate a non-painful amount. Hope this helps... I would give you ideas but they said them all ✌️

The one thing that was good to me pureed was rotisserie chicken in a processor w/chicken broth to keep it moist. You've got a lot of great suggestions on this thread. I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Love this site, such great support.

I also did not puree anything. I basically stuck with scrambled eggs, canned tuna or chicken and Protein shakes. Just start with soft foods and chew chew chew!

Cauliflower mash is really very good. I also made a few Soups and puréed them. I put the majority of what I made in small Pyrex dishes and froze them. I go back to work next week and wanted easy grown up choices to heat up at lunch time. I also bought cans of turkey no bean chili, tuna, white meat chicken, stew, and fat free retried Beans.< /p>

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
