29 year old ladies - skin bounce back?

Recommended Posts

I used to promote products by itworks global and they have a product called defining gel. I was on pinterest the other day and saw a pin where a lady who had WLS used the defining gel (and their wraps) and that helped her not have as much saggy skin. She was an older woman, maybe close to 60. I plan to go back to using those products post op as well. The products are not really for weight loss but promote tightening, timing and firming.

I just turned 30 and I'm 7 months out from surgery. I have lost 73 lbs and my skin is going back to normal pretty good! I have 35 more lbs to lose before I hit my goal and I feel confident that I won't have that much hangy skin. And on a good note I haven't lost my boobs, lol. Good luck to you! Happy New Year!!

I started using skin firming lotion. I always lotion my body as soon as I get out of the shower so it wasn't a big deal. I'm hoping by using that my skin will be able to catch up to my weight loss

I'm 26 and am 4.5 months out and down 70 ish pounds (30 ish left until goal). For me, stretch marks have definitely gotten more noticeable in the places where I tend to carry the most weight. It's not my favorite thing, but I'm not going to give it a second thought until I'm a year or two out. The reason that so many doctors make you wait until you consider plastics is that your skin changes and tightens up a lot after you reach goal. Like everyone else says, I think genetics plays a pretty large factor in loose skin, hair loss, etc. and so I'm not going to stress about anything other than what tiny pants I should buy next! ;)

@@Sassafrassa My skin is doing ok thus far but I've only lost about 36 lbs (I'm only two months out) I'm 34. I still have a Ways to go so just like anything with this surgery only time will tell.

I'm almost 9 mths out, down 104 lbs. I'm almost 50 (that hurts to say that lol). My skin is doing well, surprisingly. I have somewhat of the turkey neck but oddly enough, proud of it! It sure beats chin upon chin. My thighs have bought the farm mostly but it's not horrible. My tattoos on my ankle have gotten smaller and the skin on my calves is great! It's a small price to Pay and we all anticipated it. Don't worry about it. It's a badge of honor!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
