I know the feeling. This is my second day and i was in tears. I broke down for Campbell Soup. How solid can a wet noodle be? Headache is relieving as i sip my soup.

I'm right there with you! I'm on the 15th! What type of diet are you on? I'm all sugar free liquids and low carb Protein Shakes.< /p>

It gets easier! I did it a little over two months ago and I've already forgot about it. Stay strong!

I'm right there with ya! My pre-op diet was harder (psychologically) than going through surgery or anything I went through post-op. I think what made it so hard was the uncertainty I felt. I had been chasing the dream of being a "normal" weight (and failing) for so long that I couldn't bring myself to believe that WLS would be a success and I was just wasting my time. BUT I WAS WRONG!!!! ;-)

As i read your responses, it is as if you read my mind. I thought i was the only person on earth that felt the sleeve will fail me. Like i will stay like this forever.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
