Storebought meatballs?

Recommended Posts

Any favorites? Any that your dietitian or nutritionist would approve?? I'm not to that point yet, so I have no one to ask yet.

At target i think the brand is "simple balanced"... they have Italian style chicken meatballs..7g of fat and 14g of Protein for 4 of them...I can only eat 2.5 to 3 .. just heat mines up with mids (low fat) spaghetti sauce and a pinch of no fat shredded mozz. This definitely helps me in my protein count. Hope that helps

Just be aware that there may be a few carbs, but really if you can only eat one or two meatballs, it won't be that many carbs.

I know @@Miss Mac the carb thing bothers me. I just went through a bag of the Ikea meatballs. They are really good, but of course there are carbs in there. :( I'm going to check out the Target chicken ones. If they have carbs too, I'm going to get to cooking some all meat meatballs and freeze them up. Hubs is retired. That;ll give him something to do!! Thanks folks!

Alrighty then! Looks like I'll be making my own. Santa will need to bring me a meat grinder for Christmas!!

is the screen shot with the nutritional value too much? Just curious about your thoughts with the content. Or is there a better substitute?

I just made my own Swedish meatballs using deer sausage. Mmmmmmmm. I tried using elk burger, but elk is so lean they came out rather dry. I used bread crumbs made from high Protein bread and substituted some of the breadcrumbs with un jury unflavored Protein Powder. (I did the same thing when I made crab cakes.)

Just curious, does store bought ground chicken have more carbs than if you did it yourself? Not that a meat grinder doesn't sound like a fun toy, but I'm lazy and would rather cut that process out lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
