Got My Date! January 6. Anyone else on or around that date?

Recommended Posts

I know exactly how you feel, txprincess. I keep asking myself if I am doing the right thing. Worrying about the pending surgery (Jan. 6) , about being in the hospital, about having only two more days of eating what I love, about eating right on the diet starting the day after Christmas, about getting everything organized for pre-op and post-op and the future in general is taking up all my thoughts.

Two weeks from today, the surgery part will be a major step behind me. Yeah! And then the next day of the rest of my life begins. Yeah!

I am wondering the same thing about Vitamins @@Itstime4menow

I've seen posts mentioning crushing them with a pill crusher or mortar and pestle.

I ordered a Vitamin kit through my surgeon's website and was surprised that only one is chewable, and the other are capsules. I am going to ask him about swallowing them.

I have been told to buy everything chewable until you can tolerate regular food again. I have already started my Multivitamin and Calcium, both chewables, before my surgery. Hope this helps. It's getting closer. Final surgeon appt on Monday.

Jan 5th, sooooo excited but not liking the liquid diet! Especially over the holidays! You got to do what you got to do I guess!

I am in the same boat with the liquids BUT I am doing it and in my head it's a test of strength and well-power for our post-op life. I say we got this lol ????

Well, I had my appt. with my surgeon yesterday. I have pre-op tomorrow at noon. They said it takes about 3 hours. Scheduled to be at the hospital on the 6th at 5:30 am with a one possible two night stay. Is it sad to say that my life is centered around this surgery now? That is all I think about. Started my Protein Shake for Breakfast and dinner and a high Protein meat and low carb veggie for lunch yesterday. Won't deny I was kinda hungry when I went to bed but I stayed out of the kitchen. After pre op tomorrow, I am going to go do some shopping to get what I need for after the surgery. I am making a list of what few items I am going to take to the hospital. Chapstick is on top, seeing that is what all post-op sleevers HIGHLY recommend. Everyone else ready??? What are your thoughts and feelings as we are just a week out, some others longer and others right around the corner?? Voice it!!

Got my pre-admission done today. Before going I was questioning my sanity again. I feel better now. One week from today is the surgery. I start on liquids in two days. This week on low carb high Protein has not been too bad.

I feel so unprepared! Had my preop appt with surgeon yesterday and dietary class tomorrow for details on diet. I've done no shopping, nothing ready for liquid diet or surgery day. Only 7 sleeps til surgery day! Eek!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
