I just had mine 2 weeks ago and it took 1 hour and 50 minutes

Mine took about 45 min, and I had a hiatal hernia done too. My sister had the same thing on the same day, and hers took about the same amount of time. They came and got my mother for my sister after 1 1/2 hr, and the same with my husband for me. After we left recovery, we were in another area for a few hours where they had us walking every so often, and they had us drinking fluids before we were discharged.

4 hours???? Wow that's a long time!! Mine was 45 mins

I am guessing that included time for me to recover from anesthesia. He said it was that long from going in to them bringing me back to my room.

I remember walking into the OT at 8am and when I woke up it was around 10:40am.

And then I just kept sleeping and being in a weird pain because lying down on my back made my incision stretch that hurt me. So I kept sleeping sitting up, resting my head on the bed table. And burping a lot and my family rubbing my back so the gas escapes out of me....

6pm or 7pm is when I was awake awake.... And watched a bit of TV... May have walked a little too

My husband said after I went in, it was about 3.5 hours before they got him to come see me in my room.

Slightly over an hour for the sleeve surgery

My surgery took 1:30 hours but my doctor does his leak test during the operation. I was placed for another circa 2 hours in recovery, so I woke up in an area near operating theater and stayed there a bit before being carted back to my room.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
