At the 4 week mark and not losing any..

Recommended Posts

I had the sleeve done on Oct. 20th. I started at 287 and lost down to 260.

I'm curious if anyone else has had an issue with stalling. I don't know if I'm eating to much or not. Somedays I don't eat much but others I feel like I eat all the time. I wonder if part of this is mental. That I think I need to eat and I really don't. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. .

Eat 3 meals a day. No more, no less. Search this forum for 3 week stall. Everyone gets it around 3-6 weeks. Good luck!

Every program is different. How much did your program recommend you eat? At 4 weeks you would still be on the pureed stage. 600-800 calories a day, 64 oz of Water and 60gms of Protein. Mine recommends 3 meals and 2 Snacks a day.

Are you keeping track of what you are eating/drinking?

I am on a regular diet now. Just can only have chicken turkey or fish. No red meat or pork for 6 months. I usually try to eat an egg for Breakfast salad for lunch and then supper. Which tonight I had a mini chicken quesadilla. Measuring like 2 inches in length. I drive k Water but occasionally drink grape juice or Apple juice. I take Flintstone Vitamins and B12. Just can't seem to find energy to do much of anything. I work for our local school district and I have two jobs. So I am wondering if that might be part of it too.b

If you are on a regular diet as tolerated you might want to touch base with your doctor or nutritionist. Since you can only eat smaller meals you may not be getting enough nutrients in. That could be why you are tired.

Yes. EVERYONE stalls. Use the search function....your question has already been answered a hundred times. Or go post this in the "Don't Sweat the Stall Stuff" subforum. It was created just for these threads.

@@kimpossible67 of course it's a matter of preference, but that's what my surgeon recommends. 3 meals and no Snacks because snacking encourages grazing. HOWEVER, in the beginning, just after surgery, we should eat as often as possible to get in the required Protein.< /p>

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
