OMG KARRI WHAT A WONDERFUL TT YOU GOT !!!! YOU ARE 4 DAYS OUT AND YOU LOOK FABULOUS !!!! JUST WAIT TILL THE SWELLING GOES DOWN YOU ARE GOING TO BE A WAIF...

I am going to have to come to see your doc for my arms... She did a wonderful job - I could come a stay with you and since your dh has already practiced on you he could change my arm bandages. Does she do body lifts??? I would love the works...

Really - you look absolutely great for 4 days out - I am so happy for you...

DH says come on up and he will take care of you! She really is fabulous...and she does everything so whatever you need she can do. She was so worried that I wasn't going to be happy because of poochiness at the top of the tummy...but I think I look great. It is still hard for me to wrap my brain around. I of course still look in the mirror and don't recognize myself.

As for the pain...there really is very little. I have been in very little pain. In fact I haven't take pain meds since this morning. I am going to take some tylenol PM tonight in hopes of being able to sleep.< /p>

DH says he can cut you a group rate one the recovery.

The pouch isn't bad and like she said earlier...it could actually tighten on its own. She was concerned about the quality of my skin early on, but she said she was pleasantly suprised at how well this turned out. She said it was MUCH better than she thought it would be.

Boy oh boy I am swollen tonight. I fell like I am trying to squeeze a watermelon into the binder with me. I had a busy day today. We went to the doctor and then to the store so I walked a lot more than normal. I was given the clearance to walk 15 minutes a day starting tomorrow as long as I wear the binder.

I am so thrilled with my results. I can't imagine how good it is going to look when the swelling goes down and it all smooths out!

Hi ladies.

Horrible day today. food wise all i wanted to do today was eat. I didn't make good choices and I'm very frustrated. I don't know what the problem was. I've been trying to find it all day. I want to get to the bottom of it so I don't repeat it again. But nothing seems to be driving it. I just don't know.

Tomorrow I'll be out of the house all day so I think it will be better tomorrow. I just don't know. Maybe it will come to me in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping.< /p>

Now....my mom cancelled out on me. She won't be coming with me. That bums me out. I'll be going to MofA on my own. I will book my room and my train in the morning. I am getting a king suite and will not have anyone to share it with. If anyone is still on the fence on whether they are coming but would if they had someone to room with...I'm willing to share my room.

Okay, I'm not following what I'm thinking anymore so I had better close this. I'll talk to you all later. Night all.

Exercise log

40 minute walk today with my dog.

I kicked up a sweat so I feel good about that.

Eating

I went back to following the WW regimen of journaling my food intake and counting points. My food choices and length of satiety are different now. Wow!! It's waaaaaaay easier with the BAND! I'm so happy with my decision because now I have a life saving safety net.

So sorry to hear that your Mom cancelled!

Maybe someone else hanging out here will step up and decide to come and share a room with you. We haven't heard from Chim in a while... she was going to come by herself.

Forgot to report.. TOPS weigh in today... we went to the new scale, which is 1 1/2 lb heavier than the old one, so I stayed the same.... which I guess means I lost 1 1/2 lb. But can't change my ticker as this is the new official weight. I feel like I need a jump start. That's why I was looking at the 5 day "pouch test" today. May try that just because.

Steph - some days I have that problem too. Another problem is being full and still wanting to eat - I struggle with that daily - well mostly nightly but still - the whys totally escape me - I was thinking about it last night after dinner and I still wanted to eat... It's the whole they didn't band our heads and that's where the problem lies..... If you figure it out let me know cuz almost 1 yr later I haven't :)

Ok let us know when you book - you will have enough Mom's you will be the baby of the group  and your dh won't be with us when we visit the QVC Store .

Ssankofa - I think that journaling is a big big learning tool and it is a proven fact that pple who keep a food diary do better than those who don't - You are doing great on your exercise- Keep up the good work.

Phyl - I would hate trading scales - I go by my scale at home not the doc's cuz I weigh less on mine

What is the five day pouch thing? And how does it work?

It seems I've hit the wall. I cannot lose. Last week at DD, I didn't get much exersize in, ate normally (even the Olive Garden) and I didn't gain anything. I'm back home now, drinking lots of Water, eating well, lean Cusines and pedaling everyday and the gym every other day. Yesterday, I pedaled for 75 minutes.........went to the gym and did the treadmill .77 miles in 20 minutes.........weight machines for about 40 minutes. THE scale HASN'T MOVED ! ! !

Maybe it was those tootsie roll midgies on the fourth. I still feel tight, but maybe I need a little tweaking. I feel like saying the H*#* with it and going out and binging.

I THINK I NEED HELP ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
