Wow, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through.

How long have you had your band? How many times did it slip? What will you revise to? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm genuinely interested. We never know when going into this, what may happen down the road.

I've had it for 2.5 yrs 2nd time it slipped

Wasn't able to keep anything down

I'm thinking he's gonna fix the slip and suture it

After surgery dr will explain what he's done

sometimes he does it before

Sorry to read about your ordeals. I wish you the best possible outcome.

My surgeon took a bottom flap of tummy or whatever it was, then stretched & stitched it up over the bottom of the band to prevent slippage.

Thank goodness I haven't any slippage issues 5.5yrs out.

It seems to me that 5'5" at 113lbs is underweight though I don't have a height/weight chart to compare. I wonder if the ins. will cover it if you're underweight with a low BMI.

Most important is to be healthy in our new bods. We want to rock them for a long, long time.

Remember to stay hydrated. It's tough. Hard to get daily water/ liquids requirement down during the day, I know. I got really sick last summer from dehydration; dizzy, felt faint like you, had to grab door casings & furniture to keep balance, uber tired. Scary.

What does your doc say?

Mine said to hydrate + Gatoraide & it gradually got better thank goodness.

Dr thinks I shouldn't have any problems with approval

It's a revision not putting in a band

I just lost so much weight cause I waited too long to call dr

Well hugs girl.

I'm glad your on your way to getting back on track, complication-free & where you want to be.

Good thing Ins. is covering it. Whew

Good luck with the surgery. Hopefully the sutures will help keep that puppy in place. I had gastric plication with my band, which (I'm told) dramatically helps avoid slippage. Even still, ya just never know what the future holds with any of these surgeries. Even so, I have zero regrets, and would do it again 100 times over.

I hope you're feeling better sooner than later :-)

New to group. I would like to know if anyone has had a slipped band and then gained weight? I

lost 80 lbs now I have gained 40 lbs back. Dr said my band is still to tight, but I have no

restriction. She said I have to eat more Protein. I didn't have to eat this much protein the

1st time. Any suggestions?

Go back to Dr on December 22 but not sure I'll née a fill that soon...

I am back up to 135 lbs which is where Dr wants me.

Not sure how much is real weight.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
