  • I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes until I am sleeved. I may purchase some cozy jammy pants, maybe a couple of tank tops to wear around the house. That is it. I will waste no more money on this

My date is January 19th in CA

Mine is Jan 19th as well in TJ

I'm less than one day post-op and feeling great, no vomiting + very little nauseous :-)

I think hardest part for me has been they couldn't find a vein for IV since I couldn't have anything (even water) after midnight the night before my surgery. I'm very thankful that I only had 1 week of liquid diet. and thankful my night nurse has been wonderful!! I've got a little bit of insomnia going on cuz it's strange bed, different noises + missing my dog. LOL, ok, enough of my pain med induced rambling for now, just trying to avoid an Etsy shopping binge! Take care everyone!

Surgery today ppl!! Van is picking us up in 15min. Surgery buddies are GREAT and have really helped calm my nerves.

Good luck

I'm getting sleeved at UIC on January 22nd. Second day of fasting...wow, I'm hungry. I'm excited, nervous, scared.... I wish everyone else getting their sleeve this month the best!!!

@@kizzyfit - pricing is strictly confidential and we signed an agreement not to disclose. Occ is very happy to quote you, if you simply enquire. They never pressured me in the slightest!

How is all the post op this week? I had a lil hard time with recovery. Today is going better :)

The day of surgery wasn't so bad, but the first day post op I has a very hard time with any fluids. A lot of pain, but today is a little better. I can't wait to start feeling like myself again!!

Well I had my pre-op yesterday. They told me that my gall bladder was only working at 8% so it will need to come out as well. Fortunately insurance did not require an additional authorization. My surgeon thought they would and was planning to reschedule me. I'm scheduled for Monday. Does anyone know how much longer the surgery will be when they have to remove the gb?

Btw, day 7 of preop and down 14lbs....yay!!!

@@shawnee1973 depending on the type of surgery,,,,scope or larger incision which since they have scopes already in sure they will go that way 1-2 hrs and gastric sleeve is about 45-1hr within its self.

It was not hard for me to find the prices for OCC and they quoted me after a simple email inquiry. I didn't have to sign anything to get my price so they can't be too worried about disclosure. I had the plication for $6500. As usual, prices are subject to change.

Surgery was Monday the 5th!

Doing really really well! I was home Tuesday evening and Wednesday went to the mall and walked with my mom for about an hour. It's cold and snowy so outside isn't an option. Then Thursday and Friday I went to the gym. Walked slowly on the treadmill for 30 min!!! I'm keeping everything down, which is only Water, crystal light, Protein broth, Protein shakes and now cream of wheat.

I was just watching my husband eat sour cream and cheddar chips-which were my favs. I just even thought....

What if I lick the powder off the chip?? Would that be AWFUL??

Yes. Yes it would. I googled if anyone has ever done that, and they have. But they also said something along the lines of your body is craving salt. Make broth!! So I just made a protein chicken broth from unjury for the first time. It's pretty good. And guess what!! I did NOT lick chips lol.

I'm still working on my "head" part of this. I know I don't want chips, I wanted SALT! So if anyone has that urge, MAKE BROTH!! Sip it slowly and this too shall pass!!

Hope everyone is doing well or getting ready to have it done!!

Praying that all goes well for everyone!! ????

Katie
