  • I am down 20lbs ya'll

  • Surgery was Monday the 5th! Doing really really well! I was home Tuesday evening and Wednesday went to the mall and walked with my mom for about an hour. It's cold and snowy so outside isn't an optio

  • I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes until I am sleeved. I may purchase some cozy jammy pants, maybe a couple of tank tops to wear around the house. That is it. I will waste no more money on this

I'm scheduled for January 23rd in TJ, Mexico!!! Anyone else going to be there?

Sleeved 1.5.15. Doing well for the most part. Minimal gas, a little fatigue. Able to tolerate everything in this stage so far. Haven't had a BM yet. Incision/staples very itchy. Water doesn't sit well on my stomach. Find out today that a compression/girdle makes it feel better.

Day before surgery and the anxiety is really kicking in....not to mention I feel like I'm starving. Clear liquid and full liquid make a difference. Hospital told me to call at 8am for a time to come in... I can't help but wonder why I do not have a scheduled time already. And I live an hour away. Strange!

@@shawnee1973 that does sound kinda strange. Please let us know how everything went.

I feel the same way. I have to wait for a call from the hospital the day before surgery, sometime between 2 & 4 pm. I live about that same time distance too. Guess that's how they do things. And I'm just hoping I'm early!

Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 1pm!!!! I'm excited and nervous for this opportunity as it has been a long 7 month journey! As a result of the wait and all of you sharing your experiences I feel prepared! Thank you and God Bless :)

Wow...lots of surgeries tomorrow... And I agree fitdrea30, whenever I feel the least bit of anxiety, I get on here and see all the success stories and it helps tremendously. Good luck to everyone!!!! Hope to hear from you on the other side!!!

I guess I should post here. My date is the 20th. Good luck everyone.

Wow! So many with surgery tomorrow :D Good luck everyone and I'll see you on the other side shortly!

O.k. I got up to go to the bathroom so many times I loss count. I know my nerves were on the edge but the clear liquids was a bit much. I am up and ready for my 2 nd special shower. The hospital has special instructions for the night before and the morning of the surgery. Did anyone go on line to Bariatric Vitamins. They offered a FREE 3 months supply of vitamins and calcium supplements. Print out the form and your doctor's office will complete it and fax it to the company. I just wanted to share this. I pray for the stay hand of the surgical team, the attentiveness of the anesthesiologist and the professionalism of the staff attending to me and all my January sleevers.

Good luck today, ladies!!!! Let us know how you are doing when you are ready. Thinking of you!

Good luck to evrryone having surgery today! I'm a week post op and I'm down 11lbs. This makes my liquid diet not suck that much. Everyone getting ready pls go in with an open mind. Not everyone is the same. You will have your own journey. I gave myself 7 days to feel some what normal. Take one day at a time and know its going to get better :)
