  1. So great to hear everyone's journey. I'm not losing the way Id like...I feel like my tummy is a little smaller but not much....I think I may be snacking too much. Not having trouble with too many foods...only thing that doesn't agree is tuna and eggs...which is sad because they're both good sources of protein.
  2. No...West LA surgeons are more prone to just take out band, but not revision. Request Harbor City. I went to West LA earlier in the year. Email your doctor, ask him to send referral to Dr. Gary Belzberg.
  3. I was seen by the bariatric doctor without seeing pcp as I'd had wls surgery previously
  4. 5 1/2 weeks out, down 20lbs. 6 week postop appointment today. Transitioning to normal diet. next appointment until May...has me worried, I thought I'd be monitored more.
  5. I have no problem eating...very scary. I go for my 6 week postop tomorrow.
  6. My doc said no oatmeal on pureed stage only cream of wheat.
  7. I'm feeling the same way...no restriction...and today I even caved and had some pretzels, it wasn't a problem at all
  8. I was band revision patient (done with Blue Shield). I went in to see the Kaiser doctor (So Cal) on the 15th of December and had my surgery on 1.5.15. The process was easy and smooth...
  9. My surgery was 1.5 ad's I'm at a stall too...sounds like we're all feeling the same thing....trying to stay focused...but the cravings are seeing in. I'm sure the stall is aggravating, therefore frustrating ....cravings begin.
  10. A binder or some sort of abdominal support helped me a lot too. I use Flexees high waist underwear.
  11. I was told that gummies stent allowed. My doc suggested Viactiv calcium (I bought the Costco brand. It's on sale and the caramel is pretty good). Cream of wheat and Martha potatoes weren't okay until pureed stage for me. Which was 1 1/2 postop. Ive been going to Costco/Sams Club/restaurants for soup variety.
  12. Moving on to phase 2. Getting excited.
  13. Had my postop yesterday. So happy to get those staples removed. Down 18lbs since preop. 11lbs since surgery (1.5.15). Moving on to the next stage of food. Yay for pureed (mash potatoes, soup, anything blenderized, soft eggs, soft fish). HW 275 Lapband LW 168 SW 259 DOS 252 CW 241
  14. @AF mom I too am feeling pretty good. No vomiting, no heaving, able to tolerate everything allowed so far
  15. My follow-up isn't until Friday...can't wait to get these staples out...can't stand them. I'm hoping for a big loss. I didn't weigh at home the morning of surgery so I don't have good data...I went back to work Monday (one week post op). Monday wasnt bad, Tuesday I was exhausted. Today was good, I even went walking for thirty minutes after I got home. I've been able to get 1/2 c of creamed soup down...seems like a lot.
  16. My surgeon used staples too, so it must be okay...
  17. Ladies, I love the support in this group, especially when we can identify and support one another through our transition. If you decide to "friend" me on Fitbit, please don't go through my personal friend and co-worker list and "friend" them. It causes lots of questions and takes away some privacy. Thanks and best wishes on your steps!
  18. I haven't had a BM yet either. I'm calling my doctor's office tomorrow.
  19. My doctor requires 2 weeks as well...I'm so over them too...broth and protein shakes are getting old.although, be did say I could have cottage cheese, hummus, and yogurt....I may be moving into those this week.
  20. Add me...it gets competitive...
  21. Sleeved 1.5.15. Doing well for the most part. Minimal gas, a little fatigue. Able to tolerate everything in this stage so far. Haven't had a BM yet. Incision/staples very itchy. Water doesn't sit well on my stomach. Found out today that a compression/girdle makes it feel better. What brand of Vitamins do you take?
