  1. Sleeved 1.5.15. Doing well for the most part. Minimal gas, a little fatigue. Able to tolerate everything in this stage so far. Haven't had a BM yet. Incision/staples very itchy. Water doesn't sit well on my stomach. Find out today that a compression/girdle makes it feel better.
  2. Congrats where did you get liquid Tylenol?
  3. My doctor approved liquids, plain yogurt, cottage cheese, and hummus. I hear everything that goes into my mouth...I hope this changes over time.
  4. I was a little sick with a cold, and funny thing is after surgery it was pretty much gone...
  5. I had strained abondigas soup with no problems.
  6. Water feels weird on my stomach, but other than that things taste fine.
  7. Day 4 Post-op...still sore too. Itching and achy where staples are. Right side hurts a great deal. Based on fallinstar, may be caused by stomach pulled through that side. I had a regretful moment day before yesterday, but since then I've been pretty good. Got my hair and nails fine yesterday. Today I went shopping (Costco/Sams Club/regular grocery store). After 3 hours I began to feel tired. Fatigued after 4 hours of being out. Resting now. Had 16 oz protein shake, a jello cup, Crystal light, 1tbsp hummus, 1/4 c cottage cheese without any issues. Broth for dinner tonight.
  8. Postop Day 3.Yesterday was rough, but today is better. My mom came over and got me on a plan with meds and liquids. Went walking with the hubby as well. Neck pain has subsided, but the headache is the worst.
  9. Ive just done the revision. Im only on day 3, but hopeful for positive results.
  10. Surgery update Day 1: All went well. Band was removed with a bit of a challenge (accession) and sleeved. Had a great deal of pain initially in recovery. But it's been managed well since. Taking in lots of ice chips, 1 popsicle, sips of broth (once it cools I don't want it anymore), 3oz of cranberry juice while in recovery. Overall, I feel pretty good, surprisingly, like 10 times better than my Band surgery in 2007. Probably being released today at noon.
  11. Checking in for surgery. Surgery is schedule for 9am. Thanks for the positive encouragement...it got real last night. My nerves have been on edge since about 10pm. I'm ready!
  12. Got my surgery time. Scheduled for Monday at 9am, must check-in at 7am...it's getting real. Just got back from a weeks worth of family time (and good ole southern eating, my doc didnt give me a pre-op liquid diet) in Louisiana. Now I must unpack, shop, prep, and get my family (hubby and 2 toddlers) ready for next week in case I am not up to doing much. How long do you all plan to be off work? My doc said it could be anywhere from 3 days to 6 weeks...I'm hoping for one week. Last surgery (Lapband 12.31.2007) I was back to work in a week.
  13. I'm having my band removed add sell, almost the same timing too. Removing band and having sleeve same day. December 31, 2007. HW:275 LW:(lapband)158 CW:246
  14. I noticed some of you have been prescribed a liquid diet prior to surgery. I've only been told the day before. What does your diet consist of and what's the rationale?
