  • Surgery was Monday the 5th! Doing really really well! I was home Tuesday evening and Wednesday went to the mall and walked with my mom for about an hour. It's cold and snowy so outside isn't an optio

  • I absolutely refuse to buy new clothes until I am sleeved. I may purchase some cozy jammy pants, maybe a couple of tank tops to wear around the house. That is it. I will waste no more money on this

Great thanks Veronica for your feedback!!!

Surgery is set for TOMORROW at 10am! I can't believe the date is here already. I'm so glad to hear about everyone surgery experience! Sending lots of love to everyone still waiting for their date and those who are already in the recovery process! =)

Surgery is Monday so I've just got to get through this weekend! I eat out often for work taking clients or just business meetings so I'm learning already to be smarter with my orders. Today I had french onion soup without the cheese and croutons and just sipped the broth. In hindsight maybe I should've just ordered a cup of au jus. Earlier this week I had egg drop soup and tried as much as I could to sift through the eggs. And another time instead of coffee and desserts I had hot decaf tea. The crazy thing is that no one really questioned me about my choices. It took me about the same amount of time as others to sip and sift my soups as it did for them to eat their lunches. Lesson learned I need to focus on the company and conversation and NOT on the food!

My surgery is scheduled for January 27. I'm so excited and a little nervous as well. I am not looking forward to the protein shake pre surgical diet though. I will be starting that January 17.

I'm officially on FMLA, I'm getting nervous now.i will spend the weekend cleaning, doing laundry, and grocery shopping-I think I'm having a "nesting" experience ????

I'm January 10th in NYC!

Where in NYC? I just did mines at New York Presbyterian 1/5/15

The day of surgery wasn't so bad, but the first day post op I has a very hard time with any fluids. A lot of pain, but today is a little better. I can't wait to start feeling like myself again!!

I'm doing the same...trying to get as much done as I can. Plus I homeschool my daughter, so my assistants will be taking over for a few days and I have to get her work packet together. It's actually keeping my mind occupied, so I'm not dealing with too much nervous. Best wishes to you. Mine is 1/13 so I'll update when I can on that day.

I'm sleeved!! Dr Ortiz and his staff at OCC, ARE AMAZING!! Had a wonderful experience. So much care and attention given to the patients. Yahoo!! On the losers bench, for REAL now.

Il starting a thread "January Sleevers ❄️" come find me! In post op forum...

I am so excited and happy, today is a week since I started my preop diet and I have lost 11lbs. ???????????? Surgery is on Thursday, I can not believe its almost here.

Today is dsy 6 post op. Every day I feel a lil better. I still feel very fatigue. I cant go out and walk for very long. I'm trying to stay hydrated. I even cooked my family meals and sat with them while they ate. I have to be on liquids for 2 wks. I just keep counting down knowing every day thst passes it will get better.

I cooked last night for my family and ate with them, (my yummy protein shake) I can't hide from them eating for the rest of my life. Last night was the big test and I passed with flying colors. I knew before that I was ready for surgery but now I know that I am mentally ready as well ????
