Calling January Sleever????

Recommended Posts

Wow I leave in 5 days and surgery is in 6. I'm def not hungry anymore and I'm grateful cause it will make the last week of this pre op diet that much more easier. I'm so happy that we are all having our surgery this month, I will be going to the post op forum once my surgery is done and hope that you guys are there and keep us all updated on your progress. I will admit that I'm seriously tired of the Protein Shakes and will be glad when I do not have to drink them anymore. Its getting old quick and I just want to eat something that is not sweet and maybe something that is more bland to be honest.

@@Veronica Page - shakes? I'm soooo over them! Gag down 2 a day and am so glad when it's over. I haven't been hungry for days either! So glad. Makes all the difference. Leave for surgery Thursday! Wahoo! What thread is happening for us post op? I don't want to lose contact with anyone!

@@BusyHoosierMom - yay!! It's so close. All feeling very real. I'm down 18lbs and the scale hasn't budged in a WEEK! that's annoying but I'm well past my requirement so I'm not concerned. I'm not hungry and haven't been for several days. food smells good still, but my body isn't asking for it. I'm def low on energy but besides that, doing good! Hoping to lose a tad more before fri. See you THERE!! :)

I'm doing some last minute prep for the trip. I arrive in SD around 10 am Thursday and planned it that way to get pre-op done. Looks like pre-op will be Friday morning instead. I guess that's fine because I can at least have liquids while I travel. I'm right at 3lbs under goal but what if their scale weighs a little heavier than mine? Maybe it's silly to worry about that. I'm down a total of 35lbs since I started my at loss program with my former surgeon. My liver should be in good shape. I'm praying that after surgery I don't feel hungry and am able to stay hydrated and nourished enough to go back to work after a week.

Getting excited and looking forward to having some "chill" time during recovery at the hotel. I don't get much of that with 4 kids and a FT job. ????

As the date quickly approach I am getting excited. I went for my pre-admission testing yesterday. My husband is so supportive of my decision to do this procedure he drove me around yesterday. Life is good.

@@BusyHoosierMom - I'm sure your liver is in fine form! We all lose differently and I doubt when you arrive fasting Friday morning, the scale will give you any trouble. I understand the worry though! xx

I'm starting to get nerves, just a tad and really hope I don't have to wait all day for surgery! I booked in August so hoping I got in line early?? I have no idea honestly! How did you hear about pre op? I haven't heard anything related to a schedule Friday, except to be there by 7am.

We arrive in San Diego at 4pm, so hopefully to the hotel by 5-530? Do you have any companions traveling with you?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
